~So, this is a one-shot, I wouldn't normally do it on this story but I want y'all to comment if you want me to upload another! Maybe around events that happened in the chat next time, cuz this one is about magic and all that shit~
Anne and Kitty slowly walked home after a long day at school. Their teachers had assigned way too much homework, along with not enough information to complete it. A typical thing for the teenagers but ,thankfully, they had access to Google. Without that Anne would have failed her human classes a few decades ago, but alas, Jane wouldn't let her live her life how she wanted.
"Do you wanna go out tonight?" Kitty asked, "Maybe crash a few french parties?"
"What's the difference between French parties and British parties?"
"The bread."
"Ah." Anne smiled, "Of course, how could I have forgotten. French bread is sooooo much better than British bread."
"I know right!" Kitty laughed, "But seriously, do you wanna?"
"You know we can't," Anne looked at the moon, which was almost fully risen even though it was only five in the afternoon," not at this time of year."
"Because of the Vampires?" Kitty crossed her arms.
"Yes," Anne was careful to keep her voice down, "it's too dangerous, and Jane would have my head if she knew I had taken you all the way to France."

After a long walk home the girls were in their separate rooms, doing different things. Anne was playing Pac Man on her phone whilst listening to Don't Lose ur Head on repeat, and Kitty was attempting to do her English homework without the help of the internet. It's safe to say that she would get a bad grade in the morning.
Eventually the pink haired girl gave up and resorted to using magic. As she was very bored now. Kathrine Howard was –you guessed it– A witch. Now, you may be thinking how can she be a witch? But Kitty was, and the fact that she didn't need a wand helped disguise what she was to mortals. Anne and Jane were also magical, but Kitty had the most power. Power comes from traumatic experiences, and Kitty has had the most of those out of the three cousins.
"Katherine! Anne!" Jane called from downstairs, "Come here!"
"WHY?" Kitty heard Anne yell from her bedroom.
"I need to talk to you!"
"UGGGHHHH." Anne groaned.
Kitty just giggled and opened her door, she and Anne walked down to meet Jane in the living room. The two younger witches had a seat on the couch in front of the older woman, Kitty waiting patiently for Jane to begin and Anne already half asleep.
"Now," Jane took a seat in the chair facing the couch, "as you know it is Vampire season."
"Yes." Kitty frowned, she really hated this time of year. Vampires and witches are sworn enemies and always at eachothers throats. At this time of year the Vampires are at the height of their power, and Witches at their lowest.
"There have been several documented deaths nearby," Jane took a second to suck in a breath, "and I have reason to believe that a vampire is currently taking residence in this town."
"What?!" Anne stood, suddenly wide awake.
Kitty stood as well, "Are you sure?"Jane nodded, "I've decided that for your safety that you will not be attending school for the rest of the month."
Kitty could tell Anne wanted to cheer but restrained herself, knowing that if there really was a Vampire here, they would attempt to find the trio, them being the only witches in town.
