Devi's povvvv......
I looked at the Aviva who treated a single flesh wound as though I was dying from a spear. I thought it amusing how her nose scrunched while concentrating as she stitched up the wound, the way her pink tongue stuck out cutely.
I stared at her noticing every curve of her face. The freckles that dusted her cheeks and neck.
The way her rose like hair sat beautifully on her shoulders. Her eyes were like sirens calling to, I could easily loose myself in those storm gray eyes of hers. I noticed how the sun would shine in her eyes making them like mirrors, pure and untapped innocence. I wanted to protect her. I raised my hands and caressed her chubby rosy cheeks.
Her eyes flew open as she felt my fingers on her cheek
The color red staining her cheeks "I am well Avi"
She shook her head looking at the wound that Zenon had once again given me, what started out as simply sparring had turned heated, I was sour for the way he had treated Aviva.
"you are not general" she said going back to stitching the wound but I moved and I saw the lines forming on her forehead.
"Stay still general" I thought it good to tease her a bit, she was seemed on edge and on her toes since her punishment, the gentle spirit had a touch of fear.
"I could hurt you" she groaned and I chuckled wondering what a simple needle would do to Me
"It is only a needle " I smiled at her and I saw her relax before a small pout graced her lips
"Yet it could still hurt" she said softly and ran her fingers softly on the gash.
I kissed her fingers when she had finished and dismissed her when Zenon walked.....

I put on my tunic trying hard to ignore his presence
"Devi" he called and I rolled my eyes turning to him
"Your majesty" I said and gave a mock bow once again. I was beyond enraged and livid when he did admit that he knew Aviva was innocent buy why he had chosen to punish her despite all was beyond my understanding.
"You are angry at me my friend"
I pointed at him, all titles we held dropped immediately he stepped into my tent, I was no longer General neither was he the king.
"One thing we swore to each other was we would never punish the innocent Zenon"
"I did what I had to Devi" I raised my eyes matching his guilty stare
"Since when do you care for a lowly maid Devi, this woman has made you mad, she had bewitched Me"
I ran my hands through my hair "we swore on my mother's ashes, that we would never treat another the way they did us" I yelled "you say you want to become a good king, one better that your father but after this, I can no longer tell the difference" I knew I took the low road, but he needed to know so he would not head dow the path his father did.
Zenon's had a hard upbringing with a father who revelled in anarchic laws, he swore after his father killed my mother that he would never once be like him.
He raised his blue eyes to my Amber ones
"How dare you" he strained out
"How dare I, you almost killed her Zenon" I paused "you could have killed someone, the blood of the innocent on your hands zenon" he and I were both shaking, Zenon and I were barely at odds and when we were, we lash out.
"You defend a woman you barely know just because she warms your bed "
"Do not insinuate that Avi Is a loose woman, my friend"
Aviva is respectful, Pure, kind, honourable, better than any royal or noble I had ever known.
"Then what could she have possibly done to you" he yelled, his anger wasn't making him see sense.......

Aviva's pov....
I was nervous, terrified, I had not been in the main quarters in the castle since I was called a thief, I had spent my days in the generals quarters. I was pacing around infront of the kitchen because all the maids were asked to help, successfully merchants from all the twelve kingdoms were here in the castle and the castle was bustling. I worked up the courage to walk into the hot kitchen. All heads turned to me as I walked shakily to Samara who welcomed me with open arms.
"Aviva" she hugged me, it was motherly, I felt safe in her arms
"Lady samara" she pulled back and traced my short her with her hands
"What would I help you with" I asked twiddling my fingers, the stares were unnerving.
"I want to assign you the the rooms" I nodded, I knew she didn't want me close to the other maids maids out of fear of what they might do
I nodded and headed out to my duties, the sooner i finished the sooner I could be back in the safety of the general's quarters.
I was pulled back by a blonde haired maid, she had a small scar and a crooked nose but made her beautiful. My eyes shone with fear
"Be wary of the merchant Finneas" I nodded still scared but she only warned me and left to her post.

I was cleaning the last room, when the door was thrown open and a man walked in, I threw my gaze down when I realised that I had stared for so long
He was young and in his prime, the brown hair was well combed back and his clothes spoke tales of his lavish lifestyle.
"May i ask who you are" I curtised
"I am Aviva, I was sent to clean your Chambers" he nodded and I picked up my bucket to leave when he pushed me and I fell to the bed. I scrambled away hastily wondering what I had done.
I clutched my dress tighter, his stare made me feel naked
"Liariah is blessed with the finest of women" he grabbed my ankle and pulled me closer to him, I screamed for help but he covered my mouth making it sound muffled, tears leeked from my eyes. This was a daily life for servants but this was a first for me.
"Please " I cried out, begging him not to Rob me off the one thing I held dear. His hands raised my dress and so out of panic, i hit him, I tried my best to run to the door but he pushed making me hit the vase on the bedside
"You will regret that servant" he tugged on my hair harshly pulling me to stand, he gave me a slap and I welped falling to the floor, I picked up a shard of glass and stabbed him with it in his leg, he groaned and fell down, I took it as my cue to run.
"AVIVA" he roared and I stumbled, loosing my balance for a while while running down the stairs, the glass shard had not stopped him from seeking me out. I turned my head when I heard his heavy boots behind me, I yelped when his hand caught the top of my dress tearing it a bit. I pushed him and increased my speed. In my frenzied state I hadn't realised I bumped into the king, his hands around my waist as he held me protectively.

I was in his study, a shawl around my body, my dress was in ruins at the top, I stared at the flames in the fire place with a far off look ever since I had been in liariah, it had brought me nothing but sadness and pain daily.
"Search the castle for fineas" the person I was warned off.
It was uncomfortable being alone in the Kings presence, I had refused to cry in his presence.
" I swear I didn't try to warm his bed" I didn't know why I was trying to justify myself, I had done nothing
"I know, I believe you" my grey eyes continued to look at the flames, why didn't he believe me when Esmeralda accused me.

Zenon's povv
I looked at the pale woman infront of me staring at the flames, I knew I had done her wrong, her eyes seemed empty not like how she smiled when she was with Devi.
I snapped my eyes to the door when Devi walked in and rushed to her
"Avi" he stroked her cheek lovingly and that's when I noticed the teardrop from her eyes, she had refused to cry in my presence but she broke down crying in his arms, it was obvious who she felt safe with.
She cried her eyes in his tunic and he rubbed her back, soothing her. The scene made me burn with anger and jealousy, I wasn't who she was safe with....
The scene burned in my head even as I punished fineas, I hated that I felt jealousy of Aviva and Devi, I sipped wine from my balcony overlooking the castle when I saw the familiar red head sneaking out. I followed her to the dense of the forest, the moonlight illuminating everywhere.
I heard the rushing of water and when I turned I saw her bare back, deep in the water, the moonlight made her skin seem supple and delicate.
As if bewitched by an enchantress, the moon, the wine and even Aviva intoxicated me, I threw every fear of mine away as I walked into the pool and everything seemed bleak until my hands wrapped around her caging her in.
"Aviva" I whispered in her ears.

My hands seemed to have found their home.....
