Kill the Hike

(I didn't realize this until now but Wave is 5'11, he's 4 inches taller than Esdeath, I feel like the anime and manga didn't show that very well.)

[1st Person POV]

I wake up still clutched in Esdeath's arms, then proceed to swap myself with a pillow before heading out into a room where Wave is standing around and Kurome is eating.

Wave: "Yo, lover boy, you sleep well?"

Hold up, I'm his height? Didn't get a good look at him when I got here it seems, though I probably have grown a bit, cool.

Me smirking slightly: "I don't need a nickname like that from one who aligns himself with *chuckles* seamen."

Kurome after a slight laugh: "I was going to comment on the fish smell, not something that rude."

Wave sarcastically: "HAHA, very funny. Wait, I don't actually smell like fish right?" He looks up at me in surprise.

I offer a shrug: "Eh, more like a just plain sea water smell, I know some soaps are labeled similarly, so don't worry about it."

Me: "Anyways, I slept *glances over at Kurome* well-enough."

Kurome: "Did you guys have sex?"

Wave and I pause for 5 seconds.

Wave/Me: "You don't just ask that!/What?!"

Kurome grabs a hold of my arm and starts dragging me with her steroid enhance strength: "I'll take that as a no, Wave, I'm going to have a talk with (N/n), if Esdeath comes by asking for him, tell her I'm doing her a favor."

Kurome drags me into another room.

Me: "Back to a few seconds ago, how did you ask that so calmly?"

Kurome: "Well did you?"

Me: "No, but she tempted me quite a bit. And we showered together for less than a minute, I was blindfolded though and-"

Kurome: "Ok, ok, I get it. I don't need the full details. You really did talk too much even back then."

Me: "Sorry."

Kurome: "Anyways, back when it was you, me, and nee-san, she and I made an agreement."

Me: "And?"

Kurome with a sigh: "Well, nee-san noticed that you and some Cornelia girl might end up being a thing, and that your personality or even simply your presence draws eyes and other things."

Me: "Yeah, that's one way of putting it." Dammit, Cornelia, I wonder how she is...

Kurome: "We came to the realization that we likely wouldn't just be sharing you between the two of us, and nee-san didn't want you breaking the hearts of her friends. I'm applying this to Esdeath because she scares even me a little." She shivers slightly with the last bit.

Me nodding thoughtfully: "Fair."

Kurome: "Essentially, the agreement ended up being, you can be with who you like, so long as we approve of them. I approve of Esdeath, she can protect you and make you stronger, also I'm scared to deny her."

Me: "And you said I talked too much?"

Kurome: "Shut it, you can blame the Author."

(I've gotta learn to condense shit, like seriously why'd I type an entire goddamn essay. Anyone who considers themselves experienced and is also unfortunate enough to read this book, please give any tips you might have.)

Me: "You didn't tell me this before because..?"

Kurome: "It didn't come up, and I think it's obvious that I'd prefer having you all to myself."
