Eyyyy, this book reached 1000 reads as of semi-recent, thanks for reading my strange and relatively poor writing. Chapter is a bit longer than normal at ~5750 words. Hope you enjoy.

Akame and I run to the capital. I reach out to the disc I made, making it react, as we get close to the bar. My armor retracts below my clothes, as I feel even more tired.

Surprisingly, the bar is closed, but Kurome's waiting outside.

She runs over, and leaps at me, oww my fucking back, I catch her, and then fall back a bit. She then kisses me, and I kiss back, she wins as I am lacking in energy. Her tongue and mouth taste good of course, even with the hint of the drugs, but I'm on somewhat of a time crunch, and I sadly pull away from the kiss as I let her down, transitioning to holding hands with her. I back away for a second to pop my back, before holding her hands again, she looks at me with concern.

Kurome: "Is your back okay?"

Me: "Honestly? No, not at all, but that's not why I'm here, sorry, I'm not able to return to the Jaegars at the moment."

Kurome: "Spoiled the mood a bit there." She sighs. "Why?"

Me: "I have to prepare, to get stronger. something's coming and I can't get stronger by hanging around the Jaegars, I need to train. I can still meet up with you, not here again to be safe, but you will still see me if you'd like."

Kurome: "Of course I'd like to, maybe it can be more planned out next time though?"

Me: "Sure."

Kurome: "Good, if you miss a day, I will go back to my normal dosage by the way."

Me: "Fair enough, this might be a stupid question, but how are you in regards to that?"

She wraps her arms around me and I feel slight trembles from her.

Kurome: "I've been better, being here with you helps a lot."

I hold her against me for a bit, until the trembles lessen.

Hell, I need to convince her to start using the life extending springs.

Me: "I'm sorry to put you through this, but it really is for the best. I do have another recommendation though."

She looks up at me curiously.

Me in a more hushed tone: "There's some springs a little northwest of here, we'll meet there next."

She blushes slightly: "Inviting me to bathe?"

Me looking away a bit while my face heats up: "Well, that is a side-effect of my goal, but yes, you could phrase it like that. I probably should get going soon though, I unfortunately am on a time crunch."

Kurome offers a suspicious look: "For your training?"

Me: "The promise I made to you is not the only promise I've made in recent times, but hey, I kept it."

Kurome: "You also left me alone in the Jaegars."

The want to simply share all plans for the future is overwhelming.

Me: "I will meet you everyday I can, I just can't fulfill my goals while bound by being a part of the Jaegars. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is."

Kurome with distress: "Can't you tell me what your goals are? So I can help you?"

Me: "One of the main ones is making sure you live a long life, another is to improve the capital, the rest are a bit harder to convey, I'm sorry again."

Kurome looks down and puts her head to my chest.

Kurome: "Is there really nothing more I can do?"

Me: "Maybe try reaching out to Akame? I still love her, and I know you do too. That may be one of my goals as well."
