as the metal gates clang open and our black van drives through I wonder about who my roomie will be this year. I think back to last year being roomies with Enid, we're friends and all but sometimes she can be a bit much

I walk in to the front office and get my room key and my schedule. "Hello y/n! Your going to be in room 305!" the office lady said while handing me the key. I thanked her and headed to my room. I walked up to the door it was already unlocked I walked in and Bianca Barclay was unpacking her things on one side of the room. She looked back hearing me walk in, "Hey! Looks like we're roomies!" she says "Yep!" I replied "Let me see your schedule" she says pulling out hers. I handed her my schedule. "Well we have Occult Studies, Botany, Gemology, and Monster Anatomy together" I nod in response. I grabmy things and start unpacking, talking to Bianca about the school year to come.

After, we head to the start of the year assembly where everyone has to get in groups with people that match their abilities. There are many groups mine is one of the smallest with only two other people, a boy named Rowan and a girl named Sydney. I study both of them, Rowan doesn't have many friends, we talked slightly last year only because we had been partners on a project other than that he was honestly attractive and I've kinda always had a small crush on him but it never went anywhere. Now Sydney, she seems uptight, snobby even. Shes new this year but she's already got a lot of attention. "Alright everybody! Your groups are very important this year we will have lots of events where these groups will be the people you have to work with. We encourage you to get together with your group and have lots of fun! With that the rest of the day is yours have a good night everyone!" I go back to my room and got my stuff ready for tomorrow I study my schedule and head to bed.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I get up and brush my hair and teeth, put on mascara and lip gloss and change into my uniform. The morning bell rings signaling that it was time to get to my first class, Botany. I walk there with Bianca, shes talking about Xavier, her most recent ex boyfriend. I'm only half listening when she mentioned Rowan, "You know I think Rowan might like you... did you see the way he was looking at you during the assembly?" she says. "What? No way!" I respond "I don't know girl, he seems into you and speak of the devil." She points ahead of us, Rowan walking towards us. He looks at me nervously and we make eye contact, he quickly looks down to his feet and walks away faster.

We arrive at class and before I know it it's already time to go to Occult Studies. I walk in and sit next to Bianca, two seats ahead of me is Rowan. I zone out for most of the class and as I'm packing my things Rowan walks by and slips a note on to my desk without saying a word. A pick it up meet me in the library at 9 -Rowan. Bianca looks at me giving me the I told you so look, I roll my eyes and walk out of the classroom wondering what he could possibly want.
