"Come on, we just docked," Aemond remarked.

"I don't want to marry Aegon." Helaena whispered.

"I don't blame you." Aemond remarked. Although Helaena was a year older than Aemond, he took it upon himself to try and protect his sister. He knew she was a bit of an odd ball but she was sweet and so creative. "Come on." He held out his hand for her.

"Do you ever wonder, what it would be like if we just flew away?" Helaena offered.

"I don't have a dragon." Aemond reminded her.

"We could ride mine, shes not the largest..." Helaena realized.

"Where do you want to go?" Aemond mused.

"Anywhere, anywhere I don't have to be someone I'm not." Helaena remarked.

"Across the narrow sea?" Aemond suggested.

"I wish I was more like you." Helaena whispered as they got off the boat. Aemond stared back at her. "You are the perfect son and I think mother wishes I wasnt born some days."

"Thats not true." Aemond assured immediately.

"You're right, she wishes i was a boy or I was normal." Helaena agreed.

"I like you just the way you are." Aemond assured kissing her cheek.

Vaemond Velaryon spoke for his niece's funeral as they prepared her casket to be sent to sea. As was the Velaryon way.

''We join today at the seat of the sea to commit the lady Laena of house Valeryon to the eternal waters and domination of the Merling king where he will guard her for all her days to come as she sets to see for final voyage the lady Laena leaves to true born daughters on the shore though their mother will not return from her voyage they will all remain bound together in blood salt courses through velaryon blood. Ours runs thick. Ours runs true. And ours must never thin.''

"I don't want to marry you." Aegon reminded her.

"I don't want to marry you either." Helaena offered.

"I will put a child in you and we will be done until the next, unless you are a good fuck... are you?" Aegon questioned. Helaena took a sidestep away from him and leaned into aemond.

"Ignore him, I try to." Aemond remarked.

''My gentleness may the winds be as strong as your back you were sees as calm as your spirit and your nets be as full as your heart. From the sea we came. The sea we shall return.''

"Do you think there is more out there?" Helaena asked as they walked up to the lookout.

"I guess." aemond agreed. "I never really thought about it."

"The place I go in my dreams..." Helaena remarked. "I wonder if we have those creatures here. Wouldnt that be exciting?"

"I hope you find them." Aemond remarked. "Are you hungry? I can get us some food." he offered and Helaena nodded. She had wished her mother betrothed her to Aemond. She didnt want to get married at all really but she liked Aemond a lot more than Aegon.

"I was reading that book you got me." Helaena remarked as he handed her a bowl of fruit. "I think I want to study insects."

"You certainly would be good at that." Aemond agreed sitting beside her.

"They research them, find new creatures of all sorts. If I'm the first, I could even get to name it." Helaena remarked. "People do that, study insects. I'm not crazy." She informed her quickly.

"I know you're not." Aemond agreed.

"She is bonkers." Aegon corrected as he passed. Helaena watched him go, her smile gone as her lips pursed.

"Don't listen to Aegon." Aemond whispered leaning into her.

"I have to marry him. It's not like I can avoid him." She countered miserably, suddenly not hungry.

"Maybe we can change fathers mind." Aemond offered.

"Keep the bloodline pure." Helaena muttered. "Do you think if I have children, they will be bonkers too?"

"You are perfectly sane." Aemond corrected. "its the rest of the world thats a little lopsided." Helaena leaned into Aemond debating that.

"My dreams... do you think they mean anything?"

"What do you mean?" Aemond countered.

"Do you think they mean anything." She repeated. "The world... that place... it seems so magical... but maybe Aegon is right. I would have to bonkers to create such a place."

"Aegon is never right." Aemond countered. "That is the one crazy thing you said today."
