The next day....
I'm still in the hospital waiting to get discharged not much was told to me last night except to "get some rest". Duke and Paris stayed all night until Draco came to get Paris early in the morning.
I hear a knock on the door and I see a doctor walk in with a slight smile
"GoodMorning, Summer" he says walking to the edge of the bed
"GoodMorning" I say returning the smile
"How did you rest last night" he ask me
"It was alright I was constantly in and out of my sleep through the night" I reply back
"Okay" he says nodding his head
"But I got more sleep than him" I say looking a Duke chuckling
The doctor laughs a little a Duke who's knocked out on the hospital couch drooling
"Yeah he was a little worried last night, he didn't want to stay in the waiting room" he says
"I'm sorry if he gave you any trouble" I say
"No we see this all the times with loved ones so it's perfectly okay" he says
"So if I'm correct you don't know the gender of your child" he ask
"No, I don't I'll prefer not to know until later if that's okay" I say
"Yes ma'am, so looking at the scan the baby is okay and alive but there is a chance of it coming prematurely or even possibly to have a disability" he says to me
"Okay" I say trying to process all of this
"There's also a chance of the baby coming out perfectly healthy" he says
"Okay" I say
"I know this may be a lot but the best way to keep this baby healthy and alive is to of course avoid falling and any activities that would put your child at risk" he says
"Yes I understand" I reply back to him
"I'll let the nurses know that your okay to be discharged but keep with your checkups, taking prenatal pills, and your vitamins if you don't" he says to me
"Okay, thank you doctor" I say
"Your welcome" he says walking out the room
I hear shuffling then I turn and look a Duke who's just now waking up.
"Who was that" he says
I laugh because his hair is everywhere and there's drool on the side of his face.
"Just the doctor" I say
"What I miss ? Did he tell you anything ?" He asks
"Yeah told me a lot, you were giving them a hard time last night" I say laughing
"Yeah the was acting like nobody couldn't come in with you" he says with a straight face
"You should've seen Paris though" he says laughing
"Lord I can only imagine, that's probably why y'all was so tired both of y'all was knocked out" I say
"Yeah I ain't get no sleep, what did the doctor say though" he says
"Well that he's letting them know that I can be discharged from the hospital" I say
"Okay that's good" he says
"Also that there's a chance of the baby coming early or possibly having disability due to the fall but there's also a chance of it coming out perfectly healthy" I say
Duke doesn't say anything
"What's on your mind" I say
"That's just a lot to take in" he says
"Yeah but we're going to be okay Duke it's no time to worry about the negative" I say
"Your right I'll love our child either way" he says
I smile

Walking in the house after getting home from the hospital I'm met with Paris sitting on the couch.
"Girl are you okay" she says looking at me as I sit on the couch
Before saying anything I eye at Duke to cue him to go upstairs so we can talk
"Yeah I'm doing good" I say smiling
"So" she says seeming like she wants to say something else
"Listen París we wanted to tell you guys all at the same time" I say
"No I understand as long as you and the baby are okay that's all that matters" she says with a slight smile and hugging me
"Just how didn't I notice the signs" she says laughing pulling back from the hug
"I'm a good secret keeper" I say laughing with her
"I guess you are, y'all two are some sneaky m*therfuckers" she says rolling her eyes
"Promise not to be mad at me for too long" I say smiling with my pinky out
"I promise I'm not" she says intertwining her pinky with mine
"I'm gonna be a auntie though" she says excitedly jumping up and down
"Do you know the gender ?" She ask
"Not yet we were gonna plan a little baby shower/gender reveal for that but I'm just so far behind on it because I been working on my YouTube stuff" I say shaking my head
"Let me plan it Summer" she says excitedly clinching my hand
"Okay okay you can as long as you give me my hand back" I say
Paris looks down "my bad girl im just so excitedddd" she says squealing
For the rest of the conversation Paris continued to bombard me with questions. I couldn't ask for a better bestie though she's been so supportive.
