I jump out my sleep breathing heavily looking around. Duke waking up out of his sleep seeing me and holding me.
"Calm down it's gonna be okay" he says as he pulls me into a hug tighter

"I'm gonna get you some water" he lets go and leaves the room
I lay back down as I see him walk back in with a glass of water handing it to me drinking some I lay back down. Duke scoots next to me wrapping his arm around me pulling me close to him tightly.

"Imma go make you a bath so you can sit in it'll clear your thoughts"
I've never knew he could be so comforting I felt like my heart was at ease when I was in his arms. He comes back and takes my hand and leads me to the bathroom.
The bath was filled with nice little bubbles and a candle was lit.
"If there's anything you need I'll be in the room you can just holler at me"

The bath was a relaxing way to calm my mind honestly I felt all worries go away from something so simple. I really need more self care days I think.
Getting out the tub I grab my towel and wrap it around me. Dropping the towel and putting my bra and underwear on. Feeling as someone is watching me I turn and look and see Duke looking and then pretends to get on his phone.
"Cat got your tongue" as I say and look at him
"Nah" he sits up from the bed

Standing in front of him I look him in the eyes for a moment looking a away feeling those familiar butterflies in my stomach again. He reaches up and grabs my neck turning my head so I look him in the eyes.
Seeing his eyes travel from my eyes to my lips. biting his lip pulling me closer til our lips finally meet his lips are so soft and he's gentle with his kisses. "You got my number if you need anything" he says as he grabs his gun from the nightstand and tucks it under his shirt
