Me and Beverly had decided to go on a walk since we were bored. Sadly, there was nothing really to do in derry.

"We should go to the park. " I say, pointing over to the abandoned place in the distance.

She agrees, following me to the place just ahead of us.

Finally we get to the small park, sitting down on swings, right beside each other.

"Do you every wish things would go back to how they used to be?" Beverly randomly says, looking down at her shoes.

"Like with patrick?"

"Yeah."

I let out a exhausted sigh. "All the time. "

"I miss when everything was just easy. You had a boyfriend, I had friends. Everyone was nice to us! Greta didn't always call me a slut."

I look over at her and we make eye contact. "Me too, but we can't change what happened."

Beverly suddenly smiles. "I met this boy today. "

My face lights up. "Ooh, a boy. Who is it?"

The girls face lit up in embarrassment. "The new kid. " she mumbles.

"The new kid? Like the one Bowers is after? Didn't think he was your type. "

"Let's go on the slides. " Bev says changing the subject.

I grin at her and we both dash towards the slides. I run up the states, tripping. I stand back up, sprinting.

Finally, I sit down on the green slide. "I won!"

"Whatever." The red head grumbles, sitting down beside me.

We both go up and down on the slides until we get bored.

"Can we do something else? This is getting boring. "

I glance down at my watch. The letters 7:08 stare back at me. "Maybe we should be getting back home. Dad should be getting home soon and we didn't ask to go anywhere. "

She nods in agreement and we start our adventure back towards our apartment. "Dad said I reminded him of mom. "

I look up at her, studying her face trying to figure out why she wants me to know that.

"Oh."

They're dad had always been a certain way.. Towards bev. He never was like that towards y/n. Maybe, it was because she didn't look like Bev.

He'd been abusive towards both of them, but he'd never been... Weird towards y/n.

Suddenly, she feels a hand pull her into a alleyway. She looks up to see the hand belonged to her sister. She let's out a sigh of relief.

"Why--" Bev cuts her off shushing her.

She glances towards the entrance of the alleyway only the see a blue Trans-Am drive by, filled with derrys most dangerous teenagers.

Well I mean three. Belch would not hurt you, yes he'd hold you down and help the other boys help you, but he'd never actually one-to-one hurt you. Unless you talked bad about his mother.

Belch was the only not-hopeless one in the group. If it wasn't for Bowers and his gang belch would be a normal teenager.

Victor had more hope than the other two, but he was still kinda hopeless. He didn't look dangerous or scary, but he had a good punch.

Henry and Patrick were utterly hopeless. There was no saving them. I think everyone can agree they have about another year or two before they both end up In jail for most likely murder.

"They would've saw us. Sorry. " Bev says, referring to her pulling me into a alleyway.

"It's fine. Let's just get home. "
