Bri had told me to meet her behind the school after class and I agreed and that's what ended me up here.
The rain falling from above lands repeatedly on my head dripping down my face.
I hug the jacket I wore closer, hoping for some warmth.
"Y/n! I'm so sorry I'm late. I was doing... Something. " I hear none other than Bri call out as she jogs towards me, carrying a pink umbrella.
"It's fine. " I say, smiling at the girl as she stands in front of me.
Suddenly, the smile fades from her face and she looks anxious. "I just... You know -- I wanted to talk about the kiss. "
I let out a sigh, as my heart beats faster. I was ready to just get rejected. "Oh umm yeah.... "
"Y/n. I like you. Like a lot. " she says and my eyes widen as I look up at her.
"Wait really?"
She let's out a throaty chuckle. "Yeah."
Suddenly, everything starts to slow down. It seemed like time and place had just stopped as the other girl started to lean forward.
I meet her in the middle. Our lips touched and I felt butterflies erupt thoughout my body.
She pulls away, looking at me and smiling.
"So.. What does this... You know --" I stop myself pointing out and back between us.
"Girlfriends? "
"Girlfriends."
