The blonde's eyes widened at the sound. Her voice was soft. Sweet. Mesmerizing. Tempting, even. He doubted he ever heard anything like it. It was like a siren's song. Beautiful. "Wow," was all he managed to mumble. "You talked. You can talk." She looked at him a moment before she nodded.
"Speak again. Please?" he demanded but just got a scared stare in reply. "Please talk Avalon. Your voice is beautiful." he begged, ready to fall on his knees at this point. Avalon was stunned by his words. Beautiful. That was one word no one had ever used to describe her- except of coarse for Cor when it was required- it gave her a foreign feeling.
"Do you..... really think so?" she asked, hopeful.
The blonde nodded vigorously. "Can you talk louder?" he then asked.
"Uh.... What should I say?" the girl asked, gaining a little confidence.
"Anything you want. I don't mind," Prompto grinned, knowing his wish would be granted.
"Your...... Your hair looks like a chocobo's butt."
The blonde's jaw dropped. Then he pouted tremendously, "Of all the things to say. You say that!?" he cried.
Avalon thought she made a mistake and started to panic, "I....I'm sorry I-I-I didn't mean to." Prompto was confused by her sudden behavior change.
He reached out, "Hey, it's okay I...."
She held out her hands in attempt to block "Please don't hit me!" she cried and cowered away further. "I said I'm sorry, I really am... So please..." she whimpered.
The blonde now grew worried, "I'm not gonna hit you Avalon. Why would you think that?"
Avalon lowered them and looked fearful once more. "I.... Nothing. Sorry for acting like that." Prompto knew he shouldn't press matters.
Instead he decided to try and make her feel better instead. "But do you really think I look like a chocobo butt?" he pouted once more. The face he made was a hysterical sight. It made the girl burst out laughing in seconds. Her laugh was just as beautiful as her voice, the blonde noticed. And her smile was prettier than any sunrise he'd ever seen.
Prompto couldn't resist. Before the moment was over. He took out his camera and snapped a photo of the giggling girl. She was snapped out of her happy world by the flash it emitted. "Sorry," he quickly apologized once her saw her reaction. "You're just so photogenic. I couldn't help it." He smiled sheepishly.
"It's.... okay." she replied and continued to stare at the darkness beyond them.
"So does that mean we're friends now?" he asked. The question struck Avalon as odd. Friend. That was a word she never thought she's be able to use. But now here she was given the opportunity. The only one. She thought.
"Yeah."
"Alright!" Prompto exclaimed, jumping up and down in triumph. "I'm friends with Avalon!" The sight made the girl smile. A genuine bright smile that could rival the sun. "Now, come on." the blonde reached out his hand. Avalon instinctively flinched back, but he ignored it, knowing it was probably a reflex and smiled. "Let's go back inside.

Once they were back inside, they found the food already set on plates. "Ah, Avalon. Good to see you're feeling better," Ignis was the first to greet the girl. She nodded in reply, her gaze set on the ground.
