Tyler walked towards Eleanor, grabbing her jacket to pull her close to him. He smirked down at the girl who was stunned by his actions.
"My feelings for you weren't a lie."
"I should of known, you had a blindfold over my eyes. I should of realised that night I ended at your house after you attacked me, you had the same shoulder injured after I fought against The Hyde. And at the gates mansion, I teleported to you and ended up in front of The Hyde. I cannot believe I never connected the dots."
Eleanor pushed him away, causing him to stumble and let go of her jacket. She wasn't sure what to do, her heart ached and screamed at her not to kill him. But if she didn't than he'd kill her first.
"I had no choice, you were right I couldn't disobey my orders and I was trying to protect you." Eleanor scoffed, none of this was making her feel better or reassured.
"But now I have to kill you." Tyler began shrugging off his jacket and hoodie, transforming into the Hyde, the monsters roars echoing out in the woods.
Eleanor tapped into her magic, throwing The Hyde of her way against the tree in an attempt to weaken it. But it was stronger than it appeared, quickly getting back on its legs and marching straight for the girl.
When suddenly a familiar werewolf tackled it to the ground, slashing it claws into The Hyde's skin leaving deep wounds. But The Hyde was strong and fought back, kicking the werewolf off and pinning her down. The Hyde began tugging at her head, revealing its neck as a weak spot.
Eleanor thrusted forward her magic in full force, The Hyde got engulfed within a blue orb, raising itself from the ground. The girl tugged at her magic further, she felt the force tugging at The Hyde pulling it apart, it began whimpering in pain.
Eleanor was strong headed and managed to keep her emotions separated, but the adrenalin began wearing off slowly and she remembered who was inside that monster. She cursed herself for being so weak against him, slamming the monster to the ground the force knocked it out and Tyler, transformed back into human form.
What Eleanor hadn't realised is that Laurel Gates wanted to show her ancestor how well she trained an outcast to do her work for her, so the pair stood in the shadows watching the fight from a far.
But Joseph Crackstone was not impressed with Tyler work and claimed it to be a failure on his behalf and laurels. Eleanor spotted the man marching towards Tyler who was raising his head weakly, still stunned from the hit he received.
"All outcasts will burn in hell." Joseph Crackstone pulled apart his staff revealing a hidden dagger, he raised it in his hand directing in Tyler direction.
Eleanor didn't realise the muffled screams were her own, everything appeared to happen in slow motion when her feet broke into a run towards the defenceless boy. Even though she was so close, her time was running out hence why she teleported to land in front Tyler, shielding his body with her own.
The dagger punctured her skin, digging itself into her shoulder she collapsed backwards, landing on Tyler. Eleanor's body erupted in pain, she shut her eyes so tightly trying to force away the tears, throwing her head back it rested on Tyler's bare chest, balling up her fists she wanted to scream in pain but refused to give Crackstone the satisfaction, she hadn't even noticed he was long gone.
"You protected me." Tyler held the girl in his arms, sitting on the ground with her. Eleanor tried to remember at what point exactly she gotten so weak, the girl she was before would never defend someone who betrayed her trust, let alone sacrifice her life for them.
They were surprised by a familiar face, throwing clothing down on Tyler. Wednesday stood above them, staring down with a bloody face.
"Goody healed me." She interrupted before Eleanor could even open her mouth to ask questions.
"I need to get back to the school, fast." Eleanor nodded taking the hint and stumbling to her feet.
Though it was difficult for her to teleport when weakened, it wasn't impossible. Eleanor pulled out the dagger, shoving it into her boot Incase of emergency. She extended her hand to Tyler who still sat on the floor, now covered with a large hoodie he took off before his transformation. When he stood on his own feet, she stepped away from him without another word, unsure as to where the pair stood.
Eleanor explained that Enid had transformed but the moon was still high hence she wouldn't be returning to her human form any time soon. She linked both hands with Wednesday, hoping to lean onto to her for some strength.
Eleanor opened her eyes after her teleportation, landing with a loud thud on her knees visibly weakened even further. Wednesday attempted to help the girl up but she send her off, knowing with the increasing screaming they were running out of time.
Eleanor held her hand against the wound that had been spilling blood, dripping down to the stain the floor beneath her. She panted heavily, her mind suddenly feeling blurry from all the power she had been using altogether.
"Elle." The girl raised her head, blinking her eyes rapidly to try focus on who was before her.
"I've never been so happy to see you." Xavier knelt before Eleanor, smiling at the girl who was rather pleased to see him. Xavier took her arms in his, helping to pull her up on her feet and steady her dizziness.
"I don't think that's a good idea." The boy called out, still holding her by one arm as she began walking towards the stairs to help Wednesday, but she kept wobbling side to side.
"We have to help Wednesday." Eleanor knew how Xavier felt about her friend, she could see it the way he looked at her, a look that appeared more than familiar.
Xavier knew there was no point resisting the girl and instead of leaving her started he decided to help her. When they stepped outside into the courtyard, Wednesday and Crackstone had already been going head to head, the clanking of metal swords hitting against each other.
Crackstone broke Wednesdays sword in half, using his magic in his staff to pin Wednesday down, it appeared as though the magic was suffocating her, as she gasped for air.
Xavier pulled back on the bow and arrow he held in his arm, stepped out from the door way letting the arrow fly at Crackstone.
But the man raised his staff from Wednesday to stop the arrow in its direction, floating steadily in the air. When slowly it began turning, being aimed directly at Xavier. As it flew at high speed towards the boy, Eleanor stepped out from the wall she leaned against, raising her arms before her to hold the arrow in place.
"Run." Eleanor commanded Xavier who was hesitant to leave but did as he was told.
Eleanor felt her legs being weakened, her body was beginning to give up on her but she knew she had no choice but to keep going. Taking a step forward, she felt her own magic push against Crackstones, tapping into the barrier.
For a resurrected man, he was rather strong clearly summoning a great amount of power. But he was no match for Eleanor, especially when she summonsed deeper into her magic, it rushed with a surge through her body causing her to arch back, her arms dropping to her side.
The magic began taking over, her eyes clouding over with a black shade, it made them look like black holes into nothingness. A blue orb began glowing around the girls body, her feet lifting from the ground as the magic barrier pushed further into Crackstone.
Joseph Crackstone took a step back, witnessing the girls immense power, the glow only got brighter causing the man to raise his arm before his eyes. He lost focus, giving Eleanor an opening for her to push through, her magic slithering through to engulf him, an arrow racing piercing through his black heart.
Wednesday crawled away as the scene unfolded before her, the magic almost blinding her she turned to shield her eyes. Eleanor's powers exploded, the force disintegrated Joseph Crackstone into ash.
The wave of power rushed out with such a force it extinguished the flames that were swallowing the school, travelling such a distance that the students that stood outside the Nevermores gates felt it breeze past them, witness the blue light that erupted inside the academy.
