Today was the today. We were finally going to put Bianca in her place and win the Poe Cup. I'm already imagining the look up of utter defeat on her face when we beat her, i'm getting excited just thinking about it.
Me and Wednesday make our way outside to meet up with Enid to get ready for the race.
"We're all set" Enid says with a grin
"Good, things in position" Wednesday says
"Wanna tell me what you three were up to last night?" Enid asks
"And spoil the surprise, never" I reply with a smirk
"Speaking of surprises, your costumes in the tent" Enid says happily as I watch Wednesdays eyes widen slightly
"Costume?" Wednesday asks as Enid drags us over towards a tent to reveal 2 cat costumes.
"I mean it could have been worse" I say to Wednesday who is obviously not happy about having to wear a cat costume, at least we will look hot wearing them.
"OMG, you two look purr-fect" Enid says with a grin approaching us as we leave the tent
"Where's your whiskers?" Enid asks looking at Wednesday
"Ask again and you'll be down to eight lives" Wednesday threatens as I look around spotting a group of clowns until my eyes land on one clown in particular.
I quickly make my way over to him and tap on his shoulder causing him to turn around in confusion until he sets his eyes on me.
"Athena, you look..." Xavier says speechless
"Like a cat, I know" I reply sarcastically as Xavier chuckles
"Well, I was going to say hot but I guess like a cat works to" He teases causing me to roll my eyes in attempt to divert away from the fact he called me hot and I'm trying my hardest not to blush.
"Well, you don't look to bad yourself, for a clown" I say with a smirk as Xavier takes a step closer towards me causing me to look up at him.
Xavier gently brushes away a few strands of hair that had fallen across my face and tucks them behind my ear.
"Better be careful out there kitten, we all know how much cats like water" Xavier says with a smirk as he takes a step away from me.
