THE NEXT MORNING
Wednesday and I were walking through the courtyard when Bianca approaches us.
"Come with me, I have information about Mayor Walker's murder" Bianca insists as me and Wednesday immediately follow her into the nightshade library.
"Printed these off my dads computer, seems he was trying to track someone down. Laurel Gates ?, looks like he started just after Outreach Day" Lucas says
"Must have recognised her there" Wednesday theorises
"According to the British police, Laurel was presumed drowned but no body was ever recovered" He adds
"The Gates mansion was purchased a year ago by a 90 year old candy heiress but she then mysteriously died and gave all her belongings to her caregiver, Teresa L. Glau" Wednesday reads
"An anagram for Laurel Gates" I say
"Laurel secretly buys her old house and then comes back to Jericho as someone else, Why?" Bianca questions
"Revenge on all the people she blames for her family's misfortunes. Your father, the coroner, my parents and most of all Nevermore" Wednesday replies
"How does the monster fit into all of this?" Bianca asks
"The monster is called a Hyde, it follows its masters orders, the master in this case being Laurel gates" I explain as I finally connect the dots in my head as to why Thornhill was involved in all this. She's Laurel Gates.
"You know who Laurel is, don't you?" Lucas says looking between the both of us.
Wednesday doesn't reply whilst I shrug my shoulders, until Wednesday figures out who Laurel actually is, it's not time for me to reveal what I know.
Whilst Wednesday goes off into town to visit her therapist who I'm guessing is the person she believes Laurel to be. I go back to my room to try and perfect the nightshade antidote because there's nothing left for me to do or that I can do until Wednesday realises who is behind it because only then will Thornhill and Tyler make their move.
It's night time now and Wednesday still hasn't returned to our room since her visit into town so I decide to go look for her since I can sense that she is somewhere on the school grounds.
As I'm walking around the academy I bump into Xavier who looks to be walking towards his art shed.
"Princess, what are you doing out here?" Xavier asks confused as I look towards his shed wondering why Wednesday is in there.
