Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
Camila just watched as the two new transfers sparred again. This time what was supposed to be friendly training session was now a real brawl. Madison was bleeding from her lip and had a nasty bruise forming under her eye while Mei was sporting a bloodied nose. Under normal circumstances, Camila would have stepped in by now and stopped it from happening but Mother Superion had forbidden it. She was with the two sister warriors when the spar had started but she had to leave for the Vatican with Yasmin. The new Pope who is one of the few Popes who actually knew of the OCS's existence and Mother Superion was asked after, apparently it was rather urgent.
Camila wasn't one to question Mother Superion because she trusted that woman with her life. However when the two transfers had started hitting just that bit harder, Mother Superion had said 'they've obviously got some problems that need fixing, let them fight until they can't anymore'. Camila hadn't seen a fight like this since she watched Mary and Lilith got into it over some petty dispute. Even though Madison was starting to stumble, Camila still didn't move. She knew that every sisterhood had that fighting stage, she'd seen it and lived it.
"See if you can block this." Mei spat out as she roundhouse kicked Madison in the gut and that ended the battle. The taller girl crumbled to the ground and Camila rushed to check on her but she was just winded luckily. The kick Mei had done could have shattered Madisons's ribs if she had hit her a couple inches higher. Letting them work out their differences in a fight is acceptable but to nearly cause that much damage to another sister was out of the question. "Mei, go to your quarters." The French transfer was stunned by Camila's sharp tone but left without question. She may be a small nun but she'd seen Camila go toe to toe with Sister Dora. Who was one of the strongest sister warriors at the OCS, minus Mother Superion and Sister Beatrice.
Mei had heard stories about her from some of the nuns who'd been here for a while. They said she was highly skilled and that the rare few who actually got to work with her had seen her fight up close and it was something to behold, like she couldn't be touched. Sister Yasmin had teased that she saw Beatrice fight off a whole group of possessed zealots with only her Bo staff. Either way, Mei did not want to test Sister Camila's patience.
Once she had left Camila took Madison head into her hands. Examining for any more damage than just a busted lip, luckily there wasn't any. "I'll help you down to the medical wing. Your ribs need checking for any damage, she kicked you pretty well." The dark haired nun could feel like side eye like she had a sixth sense. "It's fine. I'll beat her next time." Madison said with a bite behind her tone. Camila decided in that moment that she'd slap some sense into the pair of them. "Listen. I understand you two are opposites but you need to accept that you are on a team together. How can the other sister warriors trust you'll have their back when the pair of you spend more time fighting each other?" Madison grumbled a response but Camila didn't quite hear her but she heard a faint 'she starts it'.
"It doesn't matter who starts what. You aren't children. You're here to fight forces of evil, to protect the world from demons and to fight alongside the warrior nun. You're not children, start acting your age."
"Warrior nun? She hasn't been seen in months. She's dead and the halo is lost."
"Ava isn't dead." Was all Camila responded with as she walked with Madison down the corridors. Madison didn't dare say more as the tighter grip around her mid section said, she's really angered Camila.

Beatrice never thought she'd go back Britain. The memories she had here were nothing short of unpleasant but when she got to an airport in Netherlands, she found herself paying for the flight before she really knew what she was doing. Beatrice didn't know if she would go home yet because the thought of having to look her parents in the face after all the turmoil they caused her made her feel physically sick. So instead of ruining her trip, she kept away from places she and her parents used to frequent and instead found herself roaming the streets of Camden.
