Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
"Bea! Can you slow down?!" Ava called out as Beatrice exited her family home for what she hoped would be the last time. The warrior nun was jogging to try and catch up but Beatrice wasn't giving up so easily. She was angry and Ava understood that it was justifiably so. When Ava got close enough she grabbed Beatrice's shoulder and spun her around to see tears streaming down her face. "Can we talk, please?" Ava asked softly to which Beatrice just shrugged at. "Fine. Talk."
Ava tried thinking of where to begin with all she wanted to say. With the look on Beatrice's face she could tell she had limited time before she received another slap. "I'm so sorry. For everything. For leaving you in the dark, for being gone for so long but I'd do it all again in a heartbeat." Just as she predicted another slap graced her cheek. "I won't apologise for saving lives Bea, especially yours. The only thing I regret not doing telling you how I felt sooner." Ava watched the other girls features carefully looking for any sign or indication of how she was feeling. Ava had always had trouble reading her expressions especially when she was hiding them, but the tears on her face screamed that she cared but she was hurt.
"We'll talk about us later. I'd rather not have this conversation within walking distance of my parents."
"Why can't we talk now? Fuck your parents I've been waiting two whole years to see you again."
"Two years?"
"Time works differently in that realm. Camila told me I'd been gone for nearly three months."
"Camila?"
"I came back through the portal. Before I left she did say she'd try give you a heads up I was coming."
"Phones dead."
"Fucking hell can I please get more than two words out of you?"
"Okay. You ever pull a stunt like that again and I'll kick your ass. Now let's go, we're losing daylight." Ava held her hands up in surrender as Beatrice took off again. This time at a much slower pace which made Ava smile slightly. Even though Beatrice was currently furious with her, she could tell she still had a soft spot for the warrior nun. "And what exactly are we doing?" Ava queried as Beatrice demanded she hand over her phone. "A cabinet member is believed to be possessed. Originally, this was only a recon job as to not draw attention to myself whilst in England. Which doesn't matter anymore so we're exorcising whoever it is." Beatrice explained as she came to a stop, using Ava's phone to call them a cab back into the city.
Whilst she was distracted on the phone, Ava took her time examining Beatrice's appearance. While for them it had only been a few months for Ava it had been much longer. Seeing Beatrice again was like a breath of fresh air. She still dressed modestly, a white turtle neck with her hair pinned back into a tight bun. Her jeans were loose around her legs and stopped just at her ankles. She had a pair of combat boots on her feet which Ava had never seen before but she found it reminded her of Mary. One thing that shocked Ava was the tattoo on Beatrice's left hand. It was only small, but definitely noticeable, Ava never would have thought Beatrice would want a tattoo. Out of pure curiosity Ava gently pulled the other girls hand toward her, startling Beatrice but she didn't pull her hand away. Fidem. In small writing on the back of her hand underneath the index and middle fingers. "What does it mean?" Ava brushed her fingers over it gently and looked up to see Beatrice already looking at her. "It's Latin. It means faith."
Ava didn't let Beatrice's hand go.
"I missed you so much." Ava admitted in a quiet voice. Ava nearly sobbed when Beatrice used her free hand to pull Ava into an tight embrace. The two relaxed into the hold, taking each other in. Reminding themselves of what it felt like to hold the other. "I missed you too. I'm serious Ava, no more disappearing." Ava clenched into her just that bit tighter, like she's disappear otherwise. "I promise."

"Well shit."
"Language."
"Oh please like you don't swear."
"I do, but never in houses of worship."
"Whatever. I can't believe the warrior nun is actually alive." Mei voiced as they listened to Mother Superion's announcement. After Superion and Yasmine had returned from the Vatican they called everyone into the hall, which was previously the centre of Adriel's cathedral. Jillian had attended even though she rarely left the underground. The start of the announcement was that Ava Silva was alive and currently in England but will be returning soon. Then she went on to debrief the sister warriors on the vision the new pope had for the OCS.
Since the final stand with Adriel, the previously secret organisation had been forced to surface and declare themselves to the public eye. At first, the public had been very skeptical of the OCS. Which no one could exactly blame since they were a sect of tactical nuns however, after the new pope had come out with a speech legitimatising the Order the public had taken them seriously. It was the world governments that didn't know what to make of everything especially since it involved demons and angels, especially after what happened when they first tried to kill Adriel.
It wasn't the best way for the OCS to be made public but it had to happen eventually if a holy war truly was coming. The pope had a vision for the church and the government to work together, to an extent. The OCS would provide council to members of office for any supernatural occurrences and share important information, which meant if there was another being like Adriel or a holy war then the government would like a heads up. To that the pope had agreed. However he remained firm on a certain topic, the sister warriors and the warrior nun.
Those two aspects where to be left alone entirely.
After Mother Superion had dismissed everyone, Mei had turned to see Sister Madison having a private conversation with Father Vincent. She seemed to be asking him about something but her facial expressions had quickly changed from enquiry to sickly pale. Father Vincent moved to put a hand on her shoulder but the girl had dodged the contact and walked away.
Leaving Mei annoyingly curious.
