Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

"Again."

"We've been sparring for hours!"

"You were the one that complained we weren't doing enough contact exercises."

"If I knew saying that would mean this, I would've stayed silent."

"Well this will teach you in future."

Ava was highly amused by the whole scene. Beatrice had not been easy on Mei since every single step of the way, Mei would find something to complain about. Whether it was the length of their runs or how a fighting technique should be, the French exchange was very critical about everything. The halo bearer could tell it was starting to really irritate her girlfriend.

Enough that Beatrice had been throwing Mei on her behind for about two hours now. Whilst Ava and Madison had finished their own sparring an hour ago.

Despite all the reports of Madison disobedience, she had done what had been asked of her without question. In fact, she was quite quiet and kept to herself mostly. Ava noted that she might not want to be on the receiving end of Beatrice's wrath and honestly neither did Ava. However seeing Beatrice use someone like a rag doll definitely got her blood pumping.

The group had been training non stop for days. Whilst Beatrice mainly took the reins on training the two sisters, Ava was mainly focused on the pendant Reya had given her.

She hadn't yet used it as instructed and honestly she was scared too. Activating it meant seeing into the head of some random person who'd she'd have to kill to stop the holy war. They may not be innocent but they have a life and Ava is being forced to end it.

What kept her up at night was the knowledge that her father was still out there. He had been all this time and because of him, fate brought her to the halo. Ava didn't know what she would do when it came to actually confronting him, she knew that for everything to work out positively for everyone she loves her father would have to die.

She was still coming to terms with it all but Beatrice was always quick to remind her that her burdens are theirs to share.

"Ava." Said girl looked over to the entrance of the courtyard and saw Superion waiting out in the foyer. "A moment?" Ava nodded before looking back at Beatrice to see her sat on Mei's back with the girls arm locked in a very uncomfortable looking position. However, the ex nuns attention was solely on Ava. "Be back in a sec." Ava called out with a soft smile which Beatrice quickly reciprocated. With a skip in her step, Ava approached Superion but her smile was almost instantly wiped from her face when she saw who she was with.

Ava didn't even realise she was pinning the person to the wall until Superion was calling her name. She loosened her grip but didn't let go. "The fuck are you doing here?" Ava muttered through her teeth. "To help. Seven champions and a father to hunt down? Looks like you got your hands full." Ava chuckled before pressing closer to the person, so her voice was nothing but a whisper.

"Reya ordered me to kill you too, you know."

"I know. However I know something you don't."

"And what would that be Lilith?"

"Reya is a liar." Ava let Lilith go before running a hand through her hair. "The fuck are you talking about?" Before Lilith could answer she was knocked sideways into a wall by a fist belonging to Beatrice. Who looked furious. "That was for Micheal." Was all she said before standing at Ava's side. Lilith leaned back against the wall and wiped the blood from her lip. "I deserve that and more. I understand you can't trust me but Ava, if I wanted you dead I would have left you to die. Now, are we going to talk about feelings or stop the holy war?"
