Kidnapped By the Bad Boy

Chapter 10

I soon force myself to get out of the bathroom and walk back to the living room. My face is blank.

Be lifeless.

As soon as I enter the room Shelly somes up and gives me a huge hug. "Honey, i'm so sorry. I know how terrible it must feel to lose something so close to you." I nod my head and say "Yeah, I lost her, I won't be able to get her back. That's what probably hurts the most." Shelley nods her head in understanding.

What she doesn't know is that i'm not talking about a dog. I'm talking about myself.

We soon end up leaving the house and head our way back home. I really need to stop calling this place home. The boys end up ordering Chinese food. As soon as I get to the house I walk into the kitchen to eat.

I eat in silence. The boys try to get me into the conversation, but I just brush them off. I'm a lifeless doll. That's what I have to be, for everyone I love.

Once i'm done I head up to my room. I get undressed and go to sleep.

This goes on for about 3 months.

Me being lifeless.

The boys are getting worried, I can tell that i'm even freaking Skyler out. But I don't understand. Isn't this what he wanted, a lifeless doll? I wake up to light knocking on my door. I walk over and open it. I'm surprised to see Skyler there. I was expecting Eli.

Eli's really the only one who knocks. "Hey Arsen." I squeak out a hello. "Well, I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the mall? Maybe we can go shopping. I know it must be annoying to have your clothes picked out for you everyday."

I just nod my head, not really paying attention to what he's saying. "I don't care. It's up to you." I say not making direct eye contact with him. "I want to know if you want to or not though." I just shrug. "If you want to it's fine by me." Skyler shakes his head in frustration. "But I want to know if YOU want to." His tone is increasing. "If you want to it's fine by me."

I can tell he's getting fired up. "You know what Arsen, just get dressed. We're leaving in a few minutes." Then he leaves. I can hear him muttering things to himself as he leaves.

The truth is that I really don't want to go shopping. I mean what's the point of getting new clothes if there is no one to see them. It seems like a waste of time.

I get dressed in a light pink long sleeve shirt, some light wash jeans, and some nude wedges. It's starting to get colder. I walk downstairs and see some of the boys watching TV. I walk into the kitchen and grab a granola bar.

I'm just finishing when Skyler walks in. "Let's go." I don't respond I just follow him. We end up going to the car when Jason stops us. "Hey can I go with you guys. I have to buy my mom a birthday present." Instead of replying Skyler looks at me. "Is that okay with you babe." I just shrug "It doesn't matter to me. If it's okay with you, it's okay with me." Skyler sighs and says "Get in the car"

The car ride to the mall was silent. Jason kept on trying to talk to me. He should just give up trying. As soon as we get to the mall Jason bolts. "The only reason I let him come was so he could buy flowers for his mom. She's dead." Skyler says out of the blue.

Was that supposed to make me think he's a good person? Just because he did one nice thing for someone.

We end up heading to stores the whole time we're shopping Skyler asks for my opinion. I just shrug and say that it doesn't matter.

I can tell he's getting angry. It's not my fault he doesn't know what he wants. He told me to be emotionless, so I am. We end up not buying anything. We just pick up Jason and leave. Jason unlike Skyler is in a very happy mood.

That gets spoiled when he feels the tension in the car. Skyler's a ticking time bomb. I don't know when he's going to go off. That what scares me. We get into the house and Jason rushes in.

I'm pretty sure he's knows Skyler's gonna freak out too.

Without saying anything Skyler pulls me up into my room. He's grabbing my wrist so hard, i'm sure there's going to be a bruise. "What does it take?" he asks.

I look at him confused.

"What does it take to get the old Arsen back? I miss the old you so much. The one that was always happy and so nice. You would argue with me, but still tried to be my friend. Where did you go, Arsen?"

Once his sob story is over I just stare at him, no emotion on my face.

"What do you expect Skyler?" I spit his name out.

"You broke me. You threatened me, you beat me, you scarred me, you threatened to hurt the ones that I love, you killed two innocent people, you kidnapped me. You broke me. Don't even think about the old me coming back, she's gone." I say all of this with a blank face.

"What will it take to get her back?" I just shrug.

Then Skyler takes me downstairs and opens the door. I look at him confusingly. "If you really want to you can leave. I just want to let you know that if you leave me, i'll kill you." I don't think he could ever kill me.

Then Skyler turns around and walks off. If I run far enough maybe he wouldn't be able to find me. Come on Arsen, you've been waiting for this moment forever. Then before I can even stop myself i'm out of the house.
