Chapter 18

Arsen's teddy bear to the side

I feel someone's presence with me.

"What was that all about?" Kinsler asks me. I don't answer.

I'm really not in the mood for it.

Kinsler tries to start a conversation with me, but I brush her off every time. I start to walk faster down the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Kinsler asks me. I don't feel like talking to Kinsler. I mean I can't talk shit about her brother to her face. That's just rude.

So I go searching for the one person I can rant to.

Dakota.

I find Dakota in her room. There are girls in there with her, but i'm so pissed off that I don't even care. I just need someone to talk to. Basically a girl friend.

Dakota notices me as I stand at the foot of her bed. She takes one look at my face and can tell my mood. "What's wrong?" She asks concerned.

I haven't even known this girl for 24 hours and she already cares enough about me to listen to my problems. I look around the room. Dakota picks up on what i'm trying to say and quickly grabs my hand.

"Come on Arsen. Let's go somewhere a little more private." Dakota leads me to....wait for it. A bathroom.

Dakota took me to a fucking bathroom.

Dakota sighs and says "This is basically the only place we can have privacy over here. Skyler likes knowing everything. And I mean EVERYTHING."

I walk over to the toilet and sit on the cover. "So what did Skyler do?" Dakota asks.

I immediately laugh "How do you know it was Skyler that got me upset?" Dakota rolls her eyes and says "Because obviously Skyler is an asshole, and he fucks with like every girl's emotions. Now anyways, tell me tell me tell me. What did he do?"

I hold up a hand for her. Laughing I say "Calm down. But if you didn't know we got in an argument-."

Dakota cuts me off. "Wait, you guys had a fight? What was the fight about?" I roll my eyes. "I was getting to that."

Dakota laughs and zips her mouth shut. "But I saw Skyler all up on this girl, and I got jealous. Basically when Skyler came back up to the room he smelled like sex and I gave him the silent treatment. He got mad at me because I was mad at him and then we started yelling about people thinking i'm his girlfriend. And basically he told me to suck his dick."

Dakota gasps at this. "I know right." I say back. "But anyways I said no and he got even more pissed off and basically called me a slut."

Dakota's mouth drops wide open. "That douche bag. I can't believe he did that." I nod my head. For a few more minutes I listen to Dakota talk about how horrible Skyler is. I have to admit, it makes me feel better.

"Okay Arsen, i'm going to tell you something that I think, but you have to promise not to get mad at me. Okay?"

I roll my eyes. "I promise I won't get mad. Now what do you have to tell me?"

Dakota thinks in her mind before saying "I'm only saying this because I care for you. Even though I haven't known you that long, you're a pretty cool girl. You don't deserve to be hurt."

I huff. I'm pretty sure I already know what she's going to tell me.

"I think you're starting to get feelings for Skyler. I mean you got jealous of him with another girl. Now i'm pointing this out, because I just want you to stop liking him. Honestly I love Skyler like a brother, but he's a huge asshole. He uses girls. He doesn't care about their feelings. He just uses them to his advantage and then throws them away like garbage."
