Chapter 14

Kinsler to the side

"Why did you keep me alive?" I ask him.

As soon as that sentence comes out of my mouth Skyler's whole persona changes. Instead of being nice and caring, that evil look in his eye shows up again.

He smirks at me without saying anything. I feel myself becoming uneasy. Now this is why he scares me.

"It wouldn't be any fun if I told you, now would it?" He says in a small voice.

I feel my breathing becoming more shallow. I swallow.

"I like having fun with you Arsen." He says moving closer to me. I just sit there. I'm captivated by him.

"Do you have fun with me Arsen?" As he says this he moves a hand to my arm. I take a deep breath.

I just stare at him. Hey! Look who's staring at who now.

Skyler smirks at my reaction. He knows what he's doing to me.

"Do you want to have some fun, Arsen?" I open my mouth to respond, but of course nothing comes out.I bet I look like an idiot right now. Skyler opens his mouth to say something else, but someone comes in the room.

It's a girl.

The first girl that i've seen since i've been with Skyler. Skyler looks at the girl with disgust. "Hasn't anyone ever taught you how to knock?"

The girl doesn't let Skyler's sour mood affect her.

"They want you down stairs." The girl says.

Skyler rolls his eyes. "Well can it wait?"

The girl huffs and copies Skyler's actions. "No it can't." Skyler doesn't do anything. I think he's ignoring the girl until he finally stands up. "I'll be back Arsen. Don't do anything stupid."

He looks at me expecting something for me. I finally nod my head and he turns around and exits the room. The girl is still here.

"So you're Arsen." The girl says walking over to me. I nod my head. "Do you even talk?" The girl questions with attitude in her voice.

I roll my eyes before saying "Yes, I talk. It's just-"

The girl cuts me off before saying "Skyler just takes your breath away."

I glare at the girl. "That's not what I was going to say."

The girl just rolls her eyes in response before saying "I understand it though. Every girl likes him. Skyler's a huge fuckboy."

I look at the girl with curious eyes. The only person Skyler seemed interested with in school was me.

"Skyler's not a fuckboy." I say. I don't why i'm defending my kidnapper.

The girl scoffs. "Well you must not know my brother that well." I look at the girl with curiosity. I didn't know Skyler had a sister.

The girl looks about my age, so why didn't she go to my school along with Skyler. "You're Skyler's sister?" I ask the girl.

The girl nods. "Yep. My name's Kinsler."

That's a unique name.

"It's nice to met you Kinsler." I say reaching out my hand. I might as well make a friend while i'm here. Kinsler just looks at my hand. Once I finally realize that she's not going to shake it I slowly lower my hand.

"So how old are you?" I ask Kinsler. "I'm 18." She says, yep we're about the same age.

I decide to ask Kinsler "How come you didn't go to my school. I mean you and Skyler look about the same age, and he went to my high school."

Kinsler takes in my question before nodding her head and saying "Skyler is my twin. The only reason Skyler went to your high school in the first place is because he's intrigued with you. I don't know why, but he is."

I bite my tongue so I don't say a snarky comment back. "Wait, so the only reason Skyler went to my school was because of me?" I ask.

Kinsler is about to reply when Skyler breaks through the door. He looks pissed.

Once he sees that Kinsler and I are talking I see him getting redder.

Great! Somehow I managed to make him even more mad.

"WHAT DID YOU TELL HER!" Skyler yells at Kinsler, not even acknowledging me. Kinsler just rolls her eyes.

Skyler doesn't let this slide "I SAID WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU TELL HER KINSLER!" Kinsler just rolls her eyes once again.

She must be used to Skyler's outburst. "I didn't tell her anything Skyler." Kinsler says in an annoyed voice.

Skyler shakes his head. "Bullshit. I know you Kinsler. You can't keep your mouth shut. Now i'm going to ask you one more time WHAT DID YOU TELL HER."

Kinsler doesn't get intimidated. "You can just drop the bad boy act Skyler cause it's not working on me."

Instead of replying Skyler turns to me. It's the first time he's actually acknowledged me since he came in.

"Since Kinsler isn't gonna tell me anything, Arsen."

Crap. He knows that i'm scared of him. He's doing this on purpose. He knows that I wouldn't dare lie to him. "Arsen, what did Kinsler tell you?"

I guess Kinsler knows that I won't lie to Skyler because she breaks in saying "Hey just leave her alone. Don't you think she's been through enough. Don't make her choose sides."

I silently thank Kinsler with my eyes. Skyler says nothing. I guess she finally got to him.

"Just give her a break." Kinsler says adding on. Skyler shut down again. It's like he's ignoring Kinsler.

"Get out." I hear Skyler mutter. I get up immediately thinking he was talking to me. "Not you." Skyler says.

"Kinsler get out. I want to talk to Arsen. ALONE."

I look at Kinsler. My eyes are pleading that she doesn't leave me. I don't know what Skyler could do to me, I mean he is mad.

Kinsler seems not to be picking up on my signal because she gets up and starts walking out. Before she fully leaves the room she says "Arsen if you need me just yell."

Then she leaves the room, shutting the door.

Skyler and I are alone once again.
