Chapter 19

Kadden to the side

"So is there anything else left in our date?" I ask Skyler with hopeful eyes. I'm having a good time with him.

Skyler smiles and then says "Well I was about to ask you if you wanted to do something else, but you beat me to it."

It's good to know that he just put what happened between us behind him. "So what are we gonna do?" I ask Skyler.

Skyler laughs and puts his hand up saying "Calm down my eager beaver. I was thinking maybe we could play hide and seek inside of the room."

I don't know why he wants to stay inside of the room, but I comply. "Okay you can hide first." Skyler says.

I pout. I don't really know this room that well. I have no idea where to hide. Skyler clears his throat and say "I'll give you ummm maybe 20 seconds."

I nod my head.

He says "That seems like enough time. Are you ready?"

I laugh and say "I should be the one asking you that. You can start counting now."

And so the game of hide and seek begins.

As soon as Skyler starts counting I basically run to find my hiding place. I hear him get to 15 and i'm still searching for a hiding place.

I quickly run over to the bed. I think i'm skinny enough to fit underneath the bed. I don't think Skyler will be able to find me.

I hear Skyler stop counting and he starts shuffling. He goes a few minutes and I hear him stop moving. Where the fuck is he?

Then before I can even get a thought out Skyler drops down and grabs my leg.

I let out a small scream and Skyler immediately starts laughing. "Well you found me." I say.

Skyler finally stops laughing. "Okay, i'll go next."

I get out from under the bed and stand up next to him. "Don't worry babe, i'll go easy on you." Skyler says as he puts his arm around me. I just look up at him.

Skyler removes his arm and claps his hands together. "Go ahead and start counting." He says to me.

I huff, I mean how bad can this go?

Okay! This got really bad really fast! About 30 minutes have gone by and Skyler is already yelling at me.

I'll backtrack.

So basically Skyler hid really well, but he didn't think so. He got pissed at me because I took too long to find him. Once I found him he basically started yelling at me. And that's where we are now.

"I'm not going to argue with you, Skyler." I say. I don't feel like fighting with him.

"You are seriously so stupid Arsen. You can't even play a children's game right. Oh my god."

I just huff and roll my eyes. Tonight was so nice. Skyler of course had to mess it up.

I finally get fed up with Skyler talking shit and I say "Shut up. Just shut the fuck up."

Surprisingly Skyler listens to me.

"Does it make you happy to call me stupid? Does it bring you joy for me to be upset. Cuz you seem to love making me upset."

Skyler ends up walking out. I honestly don't care. I'm just happy he's not here to make me feel even worse about myself.

Other than Skyler blowing up at me, this was a pretty fun date.
