Josh- you're sad

You just got the worst news from your mom, your sister passed away. You didn't even know how to feel. You fell to the floor, sobbing.
"what's wrong honey?" josh says.
"my sisters dead! she's gone. i'm never going to see her again" you say through hiccups.
"oh my goodness, i'm so sorry"
Josh picks you up and hugs you. You cry in his shoulder as he rocks you back and fourth while stroking your head.
"sh sh sh it's okay"
"no it's not it's not okay!"
"i know it's not okay now but it will be okay i promise"
You scream into his chest, he keeps rocking you and holding you tight. He softly kisses your forehead as you cry to try and comfot you.
"do you want to cuddle in bed?"
"yes please" you sniffle.
He gets you tissues and your favorite snacks while you wait for him in bed.
Once he comes back, he holds you close. tight. like he's never going to let go. and he wasn't going to.
"do you feel better?"
"a little"
"that's okay. it'll take time." Josh puts his head on yours while you're curled up into him
After a while, you start to fall asleep in his warm embrace.
When you wake up, you realize josh isn't beside you. You start to get worried.
Turns out he was down in the kitchen making your favorite food.
"you're awake. perfect"
"what's all this?"
"for you. to make you feel better"
"awe. thanks"
"of course my love"
once you finish your food, you and josh lay back in bed for more cuddles.
You start to cry again, so josh starts singing to you.
"can you feel my love?"
"yes always"
"flames growing bright as the sun. deeper than the oceans you run"
"thank you josh. you're too good to me"
"no such thing" josh kisses your cheek.
You spend the rest of the day in bed, while josh is going out of his way to do things for you to make you try not to think about your sister.
