Josh- the trip

You and josh have been together for almost 8 years, but haven't really done anything ever since your 5 year old Melanie daughter was born.
But josh decides to surprise you.
You both wake to a very happy girl jumping on you in the early hours of the morning
"mommy! daddy! it's time to wake up!"
Josh groans.
"melanie honey go back to sleep, it's early"
"but i want cuddles" she says in a cute voice, looking at you both with puppy dog eyes. God, she looks so much like josh.
"come here honey, lay with mommy"
as she snuggles into you, you all fall back asleep.
Once you all wake up at a reasonable hour, you make breakfast for your little family.
"so girls, i've got something to tell you"
"oh god, you're touring again."
"no no honey not that"
"what is it daddy?" melanie asks with sadness in her voice
"don't be sad babygirl, it's good"
she instantly perks up
"since we haven't really gone on a proper vacation i'm taking us to...HAWAII!!"
"what!?" you say shocked
"i'm taking my girls on a vacation"
At this point, melanie can't contain herself.
A few days later, once youre all packed and ready he says something to you
"hey y/n?"
"yeah?"
"we're going to have fun. i promise"
you sigh. "okay"
Once you get to your hotel, you start to unpack as josh gives melanie a bath.
The next day, you all head to the beach.
"are you excited mel?"
"YES!! i'm very excited mommy"
You giggle.
She runs right for the water, josh chasing after her.
You set up your little spot on the beach, while your boyfriend and your daughter are in the water.
You sit back and watch your two favorite people.
You love them more than anything, little do they know, melanie is going to be a big sister.
You call out to them
"hey guys! come here!"
They head over towards you.
"what's up?"
"i have something to tell you guys. i've been waiting a while to tell you but i think now is a good time"
"what is it mommy!!!" melanie yells with excitement.
"mel honey, you're going to be a big sister"
"what?! you're pregnant?!" josh exclaims.
"mhm. i found out a few weeks ago"
Josh and melanie hug you, with her on your hip she grabs your tummy and says
"i love you mommy"
"i love you too honey" you kiss her forehead
"i'm so happy y/n. we're growing our little family"
You smile and kiss him
"let's go play mel!" you say and pick her up as you run with her to the water
Josh stays back, watching his girls.
He loves you, more than the world.
