The moment our hands touched the cold chalice, we were ported to a graveyard. A cold chill went down my spine at the eerie feeling in the air. Harry and Cedric pulled themselves up from the dirt while I cautiously scanned the graveyard.

"Are you okay?" Cedric asked Harry.

"Yeah," Harry nodded. "You?"

"Where are we?" Cedric questioned.

"Graveyard." I murmured.

"I've been here before." Harry murmured, making me grip my wand slightly tighter.

"It's a portkey." Cedric mused, looking at the Triwizard Cup. "Harry, the cup is a portkey!"

"I've been here before, in a dream." Harry mumbled, glancing back at Cedric and I almost frantically. "Cedric, Desdemona, we have to get back to the cup. Now!"

I furrowed my brow in confusion; sure, the graveyard made me uneasy, but there was no present danger.

"What are you talking about?" Cedric inquired.

"We just got here." I spat sarcastically. "What's the rush, Potter?"

Suddenly, Harry doubled over clutching his forehead. He groaned out in pain, causing Cedric and I to be alarmed.

"What is it?" Cedric questioned.

"Get back to the cup!" Harry shouted at the pair of us. A dark figure appeared from thin air, approaching us with an intimidating gait.

"Who are you supposed to be?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at the cloaked figure as I raised my wand.

"What do you want?" Cedric pressed, raising his own wand.

"Kill the spare!" The figure hissed. As soon as I saw the wand raised and aimed for Cedric, I grabbed his wrist tightly.

"Ava-" The figure began, making my eyes widen. Without much thought, I disapparated Cedric and I into the Forbidden Forest. I glanced around trying to pinpoint our location as Cedric tried to orient himself.

"Whoa." He murmured, swaying sightly beside me.

"I apologize," I hummed, beginning to walk in the direction of the castle. "I was positive a killing curse was headed your way. Come on, the castle is this way."

"How did you get us so close to the school? Cedric asked, jogging to catch up with my quick steps. "We aren't supposed to be able to apparate near Hogwarts."

"Snape gave me my lessons in the perimeter around the castle." I explained. "If I had tried to land up closer, we would've been in some trouble."

The walk was silent between us, and it continued to be so until we reached the stands of murmuring students.

"What do we say happened?" Cedric questioned.

"I think Harry has it about covered." I murmured, hearing Dumbledore's booming voice commanding people to find Cedric and I.

"What do you mean she's gone, Potter?" I heard Draco spit, an edge in his voice that was unfamiliar to me. I quickened my pace, eager for some comfort after these rough trials.

"Where did she go?" Goyle questioned next.

"I knew she shouldn't have participated." Crabbe shouted. "I had a feeling!"

"Ease up, will you?" I huffed, stepping into the arena with crossed arms. "I'm right here, and I'm just fine."

"Desdemona Littlesea!" Crabbe screeched, pointing an accusatory finger at me. "You are never leaving my sight again, you hear me?"

"Cedric?"

"I'm here, dad." Cedric turned away from me to greet his father. Amos Diggory pulled his son into an embrace before checking him for any injuries. "I'm alright, dad. Desdemona saved my life."

"Thank you!" Amos cried, pulling me into a forceful hug. "How can we ever repay you?"

"That's unnecessary, Mr. Diggory." I nodded politely. "I could never sit back and let a fellow student suffer from an unforgivable curse if I could help it."

"Thank you, again, Desdemona." Cedric smiled.

"Consider us even." I nodded.

"Mona!" Draco called, pulling me into his arms. For a few moments we stood locked in a tight embrace, one that was wholeheartedly on behalf of Draco. "You have me worried."

"I am alright, dear." I said softly, pulling away so that I could caress his cheek. "I avoided Krum as you suggested, and I only saw Potter for all of five minutes."

"I could have lost you, love." Draco's voice cracked and his grip on my waist tightened.

"But I'm still here." I reassured him. "Right here, with you."

"Pardon my interruption." Dumbledore cleared his throat. "But I have an announcement to make."

Draco and I released each other, turning toward Dumbledore for his announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Dumbledore boomed, silencing the murmuring crowd. "Your winner... Miss Littlesea!"

I winced at the sudden pop of noise from Blaise and his fan club, fighting off a grin as they celebrated like we won the house cup. Blaise shoved his way through the fan club, finally getting spat out in front of Draco and I.

"What are you going to do with all that money?" Blaise asked me, a grin spread across his face.

"Don't worry, it'll be put to good use." I smirked. "I promise."

"Should we be worried?" Goyle sighed.

"Come on." I said, leaning my head on Draco's shoulder. "I'm tired and I want to eat."
