Roselyn had never dreamed that Xavier would actually make solid plans to have a coffee date. Well, she wasn't fully sure if it was supposed to be a date or just a hang out, but either way she was ecstatic when he asked her to meet him for morning brunch.

She had been so nervous about what to wear that she accidentally burnt her hand in the shower. Her magic had been catalysing in her nerve endings all the night prior after reading the letter he slid under the door to her room. She supposed her nervous energy became too much when she was in the shower, her hand searing claw-like marks from her elbow to her knuckles when she was washing herself off. She'd had worse though, so she didn't think anything major about it.

The morning of her coffee date, she wasn't sure what Xavier had planned, only that he was going to collect her at 10am sharp. Running around the dorm room in her underwear muttering curses at herself, Roselyn didn't notice the odd looks from her roommates.

"Um, what are you doing Roselyn?" Enid asked from her bed, as Wednesday squinted at the burn claw-marks on the girl's arm. "It's the weekend, are you going anywhere this early?"

Roselyn looked up at Enid, her eyes wide. "I may or may not have a coffee date thing this morning," she looked back at the pile of clothes on her bed, Jiji in the pile meowing in annoyance. "I have no fucking clue what to wear! I have nothing nice!"

Enid ran up to her, the drowsiness gone within seconds as peppiness possessed her. "No. Way!! With who? A certain blonde boy?" She was met with a sheepish nod. "Well, why didn't you wake me up? I can help you get ready to give him a heart attack. He'll drop dead at how gorgeous you'll look!"

Wednesday looked at her in disdain before looking at Thing. Good thing Roselyn didn't see the girl write a note that included the witch's name, too focused on executing Enid's ideas. Somehow, the werewolf made sense of the pile of clothes on the bed, passing the auburn girl a black cable-knit cardigan, a beige strappy tee, coordinating that with a plaid micro skirt and some tights.

"There! Just put your hair up, pony tail, curl some pieces here and there, fresh makeup look and you're set. You are very welcome," Enid smirked at the girl, now dressed. Roselyn felt pretty, it was a nice change to feel yourself when you have full reign over your clothes. The Nevermore wardrobe wasn't easy to work with...

"Thank you so much, Enid," Roselyn's eyes watered slightly. "But, I'm not sure if this is a date or not, what if I put in too much effort expecting it to be more than a friendly hang out?" She nervously picked at her sleeve.

"Well... you don't look like you're putting in too much effort. The look is casual cute, like 'hey! I'm just naturally this pretty, totally not caring whether you're thinking about kissing me or not'. And you said he's picking you up right? That seems like a date thing," she shrugged off.

As she finished her sentence, there was a knock at their door. Roselyn grabbed her satchel, throwing her purse inside before smiling awkwardly at her roommates. "Okay, showtime."

Opening the door, she locked eyes with Xavier.

"Hi," she smiled at him, leaning against the doorframe.

"Hi," he beamed back, looking down at her before raising back to her eyes. "You ready to go?"

She nodded, trying to not look too excited. "Yep," she quietly answered, moving out of the dorm room, "I'll see you ladies later," she winked at Enid, who looked like a crackhead in a coke deal. Xavier leaned over to shut the door for her, meeting the deathly stare of Wednesday Addams.

"So, where and what are we exactly doing?" Roselyn asked tentatively, looking up at the boy at her side. He smirked at her, pulling a basket from his side.
