They were gossiping when Reema spotted Avni entering the kitchen, her face glowing with happiness and a beautiful smile on her lips.

Reema nudged Roopa with her elbow and raised her eyebrows to signal her to look at Avni.

Roopa gave a wicked smile, immediately understanding Reema's intentions.

Poor Avni had no idea about the mischief heading her way. She was excited because she was going to meet Yuvrani after several months.

She had missed her terribly—Aisha was the only person who made her feel the warmth of family.

Aisha had always taken care of her, whether it was during a fever, her period, or simply by feeding her with her own hands.

Avni had always wished for an elder sister who would love her like a mother, and her Yuvrani was exactly that.

She didn't pay attention to her surroundings as she began preparing Aisha's favorite meal—aloo, puri, and cucumber raita.

The thought of seeing Aisha after so long made her happy. She smiled to herself, thankful that Indrani had finally allowed her to visit.

Normally, only Marie was allowed to deliver food, leaving Avni feeling alone. But today was different—today, she had permission.

As she washed the potatoes and reached for the flour, a sudden chill came over her. Something didn't feel right. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Slowly, she realized she wasn't alone.

Two figures stood behind her.

Reema and Roopa—her bullies.

Avni froze. Her heart pounded as she swallowed nervously, wishing she could blend into the walls and disappear. Maybe if she ignored them, they would leave her alone. But her trembling hands gave her away.

Roopa noticed her fear and gave Reema a knowing wink, which Reema returned with a nod.

When Yuvrani was here, nobody dared to bully me, Avni thought to herself.

Suddenly, Reema placed a hand on Avni's shoulder, causing her to flinch in fear. The two friends erupted into laughter, thoroughly enjoying her helpless reaction.

Avni looked at Reema with tear-filled eyes, struggling to control her emotions.

"What's so funny? Why are you laughing?" she asked softly.

She didn't dare to glance at Roopa, who always gave her vamp-like vibes. Avni still remembered the time she had praised Yuvrani in front of them, and Roopa had locked her in a storeroom for three days.

They were in Virasatgadh back then, and no one had come to her rescue.

Here, things had been different—no one was allowed to bully anyone, and those who did were punished by Yuvrani.
