Erica's pov

I clean the stray tears off my face and wash it at my bathroom sink. I look in the mirror and my eyes look puffy and slightly red.

What does she mean by I have to stop seeing him, she doesn't know him.

I walk back to my bed and look for my laptop planning to watch a netflix series and get my mind off this bullshit. I check my bag but it isn't there.

It has to be in my apartment

Might as well grab all my other stuff that I'm going to need for the holiday together with my laptop.

I get my phone and decide to ask for a little help.

"Hey, Danny?"

"What's up B?"

"Nothing much, can you escort me to get some things from my apartment?"

"Sure. I'll meet you there in 10. Cool?"

"Sure"

I dress up and go downstairs

"Tomi, where are you heading to?"

"Out" I avoid mum's  other questions by closing the door behind me. I can't help but give her a cold shoulder, she isn't my best person right now.

I get into my car and drive to my apartment.  Danny is already by the door waiting.
He extends his hands for a hug but I just pat his chest and smile.

I check for the keys in my pocket but realize I left it in the car.

"Fuck!!!"

"Chill Erica, it's just keys"

I ignore his statement and grumpily walk back to the car to get the keys to the apartment.
I get back to the door and violently open it. I'm letting my emotions get the best of me, I need to calm down.

We both get in and I ask Dan to help me gather Tayo's video games while I grab my laptop and other stuff.

I walk into my room and spot my laptop on the reading desk. I decide to pick that up last
I go to the shelf by the corner and get the books at the top shelf. I'll still need to study during the holiday.
My mind is fussy and distracted that I don't even notice when Danny gets into the room but I can feel him wrap his hands around my waist and before he can lean in to kiss my neck I loosen his grip

"Let's not do this right now, Daniel."

"Come on, babe." He uses his index finger to lift up my cheek.

"No, stop it. "

I back away and fold my arms.

"It's because of that stupid stranger you let into your life right? He is going to ruin you, he doesn't love you"

"But I love him" I yell

Did I just say that?

I guess I do love Noah, I won't be this emotionally damaged by his absence if I didn't.

"I do. And that's a fact. You can leave Dan, I don't need your help anymore."

I say and turn back to the shelf.

I hear him say the words fuck you before leaving.

The friends I keep

I hear the slight knock on the door, figuring it's one of the neighbors that wants to say goodbye I let Danny tell them what he wants.

I feel the tears start to fall down on either cheek. When I don't hear the muttering of their conversation anymore I go to the entrance and still see Danny there.

"Was that the neighbors?" I ask him, I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone right now that's why I didn't come to say hi to them.

"Yea...yeahh. yes it was them" he suspiciously studders.

"Okay.."

"Don't worry,I'm leaving. Just like you asked"

"Thanks"

He bangs the door right behind him and I slide to the floor and let all the tears out.
