11-First Began

      The next few weeks went by in a blur. Elijah and Amiyah were in a good space, they were more in love than ever. They were both occupied with work and tired but still made time to spend together. It was Friday night and they were laying on the couch enjoying the peace and quiet in their house. "Babe, do you remember going to a Kappa party in college?" Amiyah asked. "Yeah baby, I went to alot of Kappa parties, why?" he said as he scrolled on his phone.  "Any specific one that stands out to you? Like one from Sophomore year?"  Eli looked up from his phone with a curious look, "That was so long ago baby, the only one that comes to mind was freshman year, when we met but other than that, nah".  Amiyah smiled at the memory,  "I remember that party. You were so cute as a pledge". "Was? I'm still cute girl, don't play!" he smirked as climbed on top of her and kissed her neck. Amiyah giggled, "Yes you are my handsome husband!" she said as she pinched his butt, she knew he didn't like it but she still did it anyway. "Bae, chill! See, I was trying to get some things going but you wanna play". He said with a sour face as he pushed himself off the couch and got up to go to the kitchen. Amiyah just laughed at him as he looked like a little sad puppy. Just then the doorbell rang, "I'll get it!" Amiyah said as she got up to answer the door. "Hey heffa! IT'S GAME NIGHT!" Jasmine said holding up wine and Wingstop. Andre was behind her with pizza and games stacked on top. Amiyah had forgotten all about their game nights, it had been so long since their last one. "Ayyee game night!" Eli yelled from the living room. "You forgot to tell me!" Amiyah scolded him as they walked inside to get started. 

        As the guys were setting up in the living room and the girls were in the kitchen plating the food, the doorbell rang again. "You expecting somebody else?" Jasmine asked. "Not that I know of". Amiyah stated as she turned to go see who it was. As she turned the corner, Amiyah thought she was hallucinating. Elijah rushed over to her, "Baby, I need to talk to you". Amiyah could barely hear him as she continued to stare at the people who were standing at her front door. "Eli, what is this?" she asked confused. Just then, Jasmine comes around the corner "Ah hell nah!! What the fuck is this!?" she screamed and started to charge but Andre stepped in front of her. Anthony walks over to them, "Hey man, we're just gonna head out." he stated as he kept eyeing Amiyah. "Nah man, let me just talk to Miyah real quick," Eli stated as he turned to her. Amiyah could not believe her eyes, standing 2 feet away from her was an exact Deja look alike. Amiyah thought she was losing her mind. "Baby, come talk to me". Eli said as he tried to lead her to the kitchen but she pulled away. "No, I don't want to talk. I want them to talk! What is this, some kind of sick joke, what's going on!?" she yelled as her hands started to shake. Anthony stepped forward, "I'm not sure what's all the hostility but this is my girl, Angel. Eli invited us to game night". Angel smiled slightly and waved at everyone. "Read the room hoe, don't be waving at us!" Jas shouted and bucked at her. "Jas, chill out". Andre whispered to her as he pulled her away from the group. "She looks like Deja! I know y'all see it, don't act like I'm the one in the wrong here!" she yelled as Andre continued to push her into the kitchen. 

     With Jas out of the room temporarily, Angel took this time to speak. "Did she say, Deja? As in Deja Williams?" she asked as her eyes welled up with tears. "Elijah's nose flared with anger as he looked at her, "Yeah, how did you know?" he asked. "I'm not sure what's going on here but Deja is-was, my twin sister. What does she have to do with all of this?" Angel asked confused as she looked around the room at everyone. "Baby, let's just go. Clearly, we're not welcome here," he said as he turned around to leave. "No, you don't get to just do this and then leave! You mean to tell me you have no idea who he is? The LIES your sister told?!" Amiyah asked trying to keep her shaking hands under control as she pointed at Elijah. "No, I don't know anything, Ant said that we were invited to a game night, I don't even know who you people are. And please don't speak on my sister, you don't know her!" Angel said getting upset.  Amiyah scoffed and walked away". Eli said as he dapped up Ant and walked them to the front door. 

       Amiyah squeezed the edges of the counter to keep her balance and her hands from shaking. "Miyah, you need to sit down sis". Andre stated as he grabbed a chair for her to sit down. Amiyah sighed as she took a  seat, "Yall, what did we just witness? What just happened?" Amiyah asked as she tried to keep her tears from falling while also trying to wrap her head around the events that just took place. Jas walked over to comfort her and gave Andre a look, "Give us a minute". she whispered to Andre, he nodded and stood up to go see where Eli was. "Who was that guy and why did he bring her of all people?" Jas asked. "He's one of Eli's frat brothers. I can't stand him! He's been rubbing me the wrong way since that incident at the grocery store. Just the way he looked at me made me feel weird." Amiyah fumed. "What ya'll got going on? I felt the tension as soon as he walked in," she stated with a curious look. "Don't look at me like that. He swears we know each other. He says we met at a Kappa party in college," she said as she let her head fall into her hands. Jas looked at her, "Kappa party, from sophomore year?" she asked wide-eyed. "Yeah..how in the world did you know that?!" Amiyah asked shocked. "Babes, I'm so glad you're sitting down for this. You don't remember that party sophomore year when you and Eli had broken up the week before. You didn't want to go but I begged you to go because Andre was going. You also got hella lit at that party too." Jas stated as she tried to jog her best friend's memory. Amiyah thought back as far as she could, the memory was starting to come back. "You met a guy, you said this was exactly what you needed to get over Eli and then-OMG the Kappa Snatcher!" Jas whisper-screamed. Amiyah almost burst out laughing, "The what?". "That's what we called him because you said he snatched your soul!" Amiyah's eyes widened, "Jas, I remember now! This was around the time I got sick and thought it was food poisoning but found out.." she trailed off. "Miyah...no. It was him!?" Jas asked. "Yes..him!!" Amiyah started to break down as everything started to come back to her. 

        Outside on the front porch, Andre and Eli were discussing what just happened. "Bruh, what was that?" Andre asked as he shook his head. "Man, I don't know. Ant told me he was bringing somebody  but I didn't know it was gonna be Deja's freaking doppelganger!" Eli sighed. "You know Ant can't be trusted bruh. He's always been sneaky and shady. I never understood why you hung out with him." Andre said. "He's decent people, man, he just fell off his path for a while". Eli said. He didn't know who he was trying to convince more, himself or Andre. "You gotta fix this bruh. And leave that man to his own devices. He means you no good man, trust me. Go get your wife bruh," Andre said as he stood up to go back inside. Eli sighed, he knew his brother was right but how was he going to fix this and how could he just drop one of his oldest friends? Elijah and Andre walked into the kitchen as Amiyah was sobbing, "Miyah, what's wrong?" he asked as he rushed over to her. "We're gonna head out and give y'all some time," Andre stated as he patted Jas's back as a signal that they needed to leave. "We'll see y'all later. Love you girl and I'm here if you need me". Jas said as she hugged Amiyah. "Thank y'all". Eli said as he dapped up Andre and hugged Jas. As the front door closed, so did their space fillers and they both knew that they had to have a tough discussion. Tonight.
