Heads up this chapter is LONG!

3 weeks later...

It was week 3 and Elijah was at home on Pinterest trying to find date ideas for the night. The first two weeks of dates were cool, he cooked for Amiyah and even had a masseuse come and do a couples massage for them. The second week, he took her to the mountains to ski and snowboard since she had never seen or been in snow before. She loved it but Elijah could sense her hesitance about going on another date this week. As he was scrolling, he found something he thought she would love, it would put all their other dates to shame. He remembered how she always loved the simple things and he knew this date idea would be perfect. He screenshotted the idea for his reference and then texted her, WIFE FOR LIFE😍😍💕💍: "Meet me at our place @7 tonight. :)"  he locked his phone and grabbed his keys so he could go shopping.

As Amiyah's phone chimed, she picked it up and read the text from Elijah. She sighed and internally rolled her eyes but smiled on the outside. She loved Eli and his elaborate date ideas, they were sweet and romantic at first but lately, she had been working overtime at the hospital and fulfilling orders for her business and she'd been exhausted and wanted nothing more than to cuddle up and relax at home.

Amiyah had always been easy to please; she liked picnics, walks in the park, ice cream dates, and art museums.  It might've been boring to others but she loved it, it gave her a chance to see her partner from the inside out and dig deep into their spirit, and see what they were really about. Amiyah just didn't know how to tell Elijah this, since he was the one planning the dates. She might just tell him that she was ready to come back home. In all honesty, that's exactly what she wanted. She didn't want any more dates or elaborate trips.

She just wanted to be home with her husband and working on their marriage. Plus, she was tired of sleeping alone. Amiyah had been dreaming about Elijah for the last two weeks and it definitely wasn't helping her situation right now. She missed how he would roll over in his sleep and wrap his arm around her or how he'd come home from practice beaming and bragging about all the kids and their talents and they'd end up talking about their future with their own children someday.

Amiyah smiled at the simple thought and decided to say a quick prayer, "Lord, allow me to be able to see my husband's heart and who he is through this time that we spend together. I pray that tonight is filled with love, laughter, and your presence. I love him and I know I am wrong for feeling this way but I just want something simple tonight. I pray that he doesn't go overboard and if he does, I pray that I can continue to be grateful for the beautiful things that he has done for me. In Jesus Name, Amen."

Mama Whitney and Asia (Amiyah's sister)

She was brought out of her thoughts by the doorbell ringing. She got up to answer it and walked her mom and her sister, Asia. "Hey, mom. What's up, sis?" Amiyah said smiling but screaming on the inside because she knew that these two were a mess together.
