Meanwhile, back inside the house, Amiyah and Elijah were arguing about their unwanted house guest. "So, while I was miscarrying our third child, you were out in the hospital having social hour?!" chuckled Amiyah. She laughed because she knew things were going to get worse before they got better but she never imagined they'd get this worse. "How could you? This is like twisting the knife in deeper! First, you leave me alone by myself to go do God knows what with her and now she's pregnant?!"

Amiyah sighed sitting down on the bed. She didn't know how much more of this she could take. She didn't know whether she wanted to cry or punch Elijah in his mouth. "Can I talk now so I can tell you what really happened?" Elijah said as he sat down on the bed next to her. "We went to college together, dated actually. We ended things on a bad note cause I ended up leaving shortly after I found God and she wasn't too happy about it.  That night in the hospital was the first night we had seen each other since we split up. I was leaving the chapel and we bumped into each other, literally. We talked for maybe 5 minutes, she gave me her card and I text her for lunch the next day. Then-"

Amiyah cut him off, "Please tell me why you was texting another female while I was upstairs, in bed by myself, grieving for OUR child?! You should've been trying to console me. My mother was right, she's always been right!" Amiyah yelled shaking her head as she went into the closet to grab her suitcase. "I tried to console you, you wouldn't let me even get near you! You can't blame me for wanting some attention from someone who would give it to me when you wouldn't!" he yelled and as soon as the words came flying out of his mouth, he regretted them.

Amiyah spun around and looked at him like he was crazy, "ATTENTION?! You wanted attention while I was bleeding and in pain and wanted to die just because I can't have your baby!!? Don't give me that, attention is just an excuse! You should've been there for me and you weren't, end of discussion!" Amiyah said as she stuffed her suitcase with clothes.

"Baby..What are you doing? I'm sorry, that didn't come out right. I didn't mean that." Elijah pleaded as he snatched clothes out her suitcase. The more he took out, the more she put back in. "Stop it! You meant every word of what you just said! All that talking and prayers for "US"?! It was just a bunch bullshit huh?! Meanwhile, you were messing around with her!" fussed Amiyah as she packed the last of her clothes and zipped her suitcase and headed towards the door.

"No. You're not leaving me. NOT LIKE THIS!" he yelled as he stood in front of the door. "You can't do this to me baby, please! You know she's lying, I never touched her! I wouldn't step out on you, you know that. Please baby.." begged Elijah as he got down on his knees with tears in his eyes. Amiyah loosened his grip on her, took off her ring, placed it in his hand and walked out their bedroom door.

4 months later...

It's been 4 months since Elijah had last seen Amiyah and it was like his heart broke into a thousand little pieces the night she left. The first two weeks were rough, he didn't eat or sleep. He felt like the wind had been knocked out of his body,  he just cried and prayed that God would bring his wife back. He couldn't live without her and he would do anything to get her back. He called Jasmine, her sister Asia, and even called the person who hated him more than Amiyah did right now; Amiyah's mom Whitney, just to see if they could get through to her. They all tried and fail.

One day, in the midst of his sulking, Elijah's phone rang. It was his mom, Angela. "Hey mama baby! You okay?" she asked. "Yeah Ma, I'm fine." Elijah said as he sat up in the bed. "You don't sound fine. You up for some company?" "Nah Ma, not today." he sighed. "Well, too damn bad. Get ya ass up and open the door for ya mama!" she said before hanging up." Elijah smiled and shook his head as he walked down the stairs.

He had been avoiding everyone for the last few days to get his mind right. Elijah opened the door to see his mom and younger brother, Andre standing there with bags of groceries. "Hey my baby!" she squealed as she pulled him in for a tight hug. "Hey mama" he muffled. He dapped his brother up and they all walked inside to the kitchen. "What's all this?" Elijah asked looking into the bags that they brought. "Mama bout to make her baby some food! I know you haven't eaten. How does fried chicken sound?" she asked while pulling pans out of the cabinets.  Elijah's mouth watered at the simple thought. She was right, he hadn't eaten in days. He couldn't, he was too heartbroken.
