"That man looked concerned for you." Williams said after a few seconds of silence in the doctors office. "He was worried."

I rolled my eyes. "More like disappointed."

"Psh, nonsense, You were amazing out there! Ya know, Kicking ass and stuff." He let out a small chuckle.

I smiled, looking towards the window to watch Ghost and a few other men putting the assailants in a truck to be dealt with by Laswell and Price.

"Why'd you guys help me anyways?" Williams asked, bringing my attention back to him.

I shrugged. "That's just what you do. You're our brother in arms now. We're not just gonna let you be bullied."

He side smiled at me, looking out the window I was previously looking out of, to see Ghost talking to a few other men.

"Why does he wear that?"

"What? The mask?"

He nodded.

"I.. don't know. To have privacy I guess." I sighed, sitting down in the roller chair in front of the bed. "I'll try to ask him later."

"Are you two close?"

"Pfft, no." I hummed a laugh. "We just met a few months ago. And only talked for like, an hour."

He nodded with an 'ohhh' before going silent. Waiting for the doc to come in.

I started looking around the room, counting ceiling tiles and buttons on the machines, waiting for some sort of entertainment or conversation to spark up. Which did a few minutes later in the form of an apology.

"... how's your head? I'm sorry you had to get hurt back there."

"It's fine." I kept looking around.

"Really? Cause you have kinda have a..- small cut on your cheek.. and your nose is still bleeding.."

"Ah shit." I mocked, grabbing some tissues to stop the bleeding. "I'll be fine."

He nodded and went back to minding his business, slowly moving and playing with his hands in his lap.

I looked down at them before asking. "But how are you? Feeling better?"

He nodded again, popping his knuckles while he talked. "My face feels a little weird, but my body's kinda asleep. Like, I can't really feel my legs right now to be honest."

"..."

"I don't think that's good..." I looked around one last time before stepping out. "I'll be back." Once I was in the hallway, I was greeted by busy staff and random people walking everywhere. It wasn't usually this packed, maybe something had gone wrong on one of the smaller missions? But I wasn't concerned with that right now. Right now, I was just worried about my new friend that currently couldn't feel his legs that well.

I may not be a doctor, but I gonna guess that has something to do with the stomping and kicking those guys had done to him. God forbid it's a broken bone or two..

I walked over to the nurses station, trying to find someone to talk to. "Excuse me!" I said. "We've been waiting for almost half an hour and my friend can't feel his legs!" The nurses shrugged me off, as if I wasn't even there. I rolled my eyes. Catching one of them as they were about to leave. "Hey! I need someone to check on my friend."

"I'm sorry hun, but we're a little busy right now if you couldn't notice. But if you wanna grab some scrubs you can."

My jaw dropped from the disrespect, I mean.. what the fuck?
