Scene Twenty Three

(Esmeralda looks at Drake.)

(Esmeralda) "And that is....?"

(Drake stayed quiet for awhile kind of teasing Esmeralda.)

(Drake) "Well I could..."

(Esmeralda) "What, don't even say it? You're not marrying my sister, you don't love her."

(Drake starts laughing.)

(Drake) "No, I'm not. You don't have to worry. I am going too help her so everyone wins, including you. Since of what happened long ago."

(Esmeralda) "You mean you're going to find Steven?"

(Drake) "Yes, if I can? I will look very hard while I'm up there. You do what you can under the water. I hope that he's not here, or else he could have found you if he wanted too. Plus that would mean he already has someone."

(Esmeralda) "Not necessarily, I mean look at Mr. Spine the Magic teacher."

(Drake) "Well I hope he hasn't turned bitter like him then. Can I ask a question?"

(Esmeralda) "As long as it's a good one."

(Esmeralda smiles.)

(Drake) "Why can't we just use the mirror too see how Steven is?"

(Esmeralda) "That is a good question. Well see it only works on people were close too personally. The only person who can use it is Seera. She had the connection with him."

(Drake) "Well, could we...?"

(Esmeralda) "Out of the question."

(Drake) "You don't even know what I was going too say."

(Esmeralda) "Remember Drake, I can read your thoughts."

(Drake) "I don't think I was thinking."

(Esmeralda) "You was, trust me and I don't want too bring this up too my sister. Not yet, not unless we find him and he wants too talk too her. It will be like her losing him all over again."

(Drake) "I understand that. If he was a Merman a very long time ago wouldn't he be older."

(Esmeralda) "Yes, that is why we need too find him fast. He's probably close too 70 now. And if he lives on Earth, every year that goes could be the last year."

(Drake) "I know I don't really have too ask this because I been thinking it but if he chooses too be a Merman again, will he look younger. None of you look old."

(Esmeralda) "If he chooses our life, he will become young again. But that is if he is single and nothing has happened too him."

(Drake) "But your sister is tired of this life, she wants adventure."

(Esmeralda) "She just wants something new. She was very happy with Steven. I don't think it will make a difference."

(Raug) "Esmeralda, Seera, new boy. Supper is ready!!!"

(Drake) "Es, do you think maybe we can use magic on Seera so she uses the mirror without even realizing it, like a hypnotic spell."

(Esmeralda) "I'm not sure, will talk about it later. Food is calling."

(Esmeralda and Drake rush to there supper both have had a long day.)
