The Christmas Mermaid

Scene Three

{The next morning}

(Drake woke up the next morning after the incident with strange healer lady that seemed too know more stuff, way more stuff than he did.)

(Drake) "Oh good, it was only a dream."

(Drake thought out loud as he was putting on his pajamas. He went through his morning schedule smiling for the next 30 minutes. But just than he heard a ring. It was Ally.)

(Drake) "I'm not ready for this morning."

(He said too himself more loudly. He let it go to voicemail. Afterwards he felt bad and listened to her apologize on the phone. He thought I understand it's not her, it's the stress and influence her family have. So he called her without another thought.)

{Ally and Drake on phone}

(Ally) "I'm really really sorry baby."

(Drake can tell she was crying before her voice sounded more low than usual.)

(Ally) "I don't know why I listen to my family about you. None of them even stay in relationships. They can't be giving me advice about you. I won't listen even if they...."

(Drake stops her before she can say anything else.)

(Drake) "It's okay. I understand."

(Which he did. He was just aggravated with the situation.)

(Drake) "Do you want me too come pick you up? I have something I need to talk to you about."

(By now he knew what happened yesterday was real and not a dream. Ally was so happy they weren't fighting he felt bad cause he was about to tell her he was leaving. And he knew she would be sad. He would definitely miss her. But apart of him was excited about the adventure too come. His life has been kind of bland, kind of boring for only being 23. He wasn't even sure if he was ready to settle down. Even with someone he loved like Ally. She wasn't horrible too be with most days. He was just terrified that his life would always be the same day after day. And he wasn't ready for that just yet. But he didn't want her to go either. He couldn't explain it in words. They were in different pages in life and both of them knew it. He thought too himself out loud.)

(Drake) "Maybe that lady is right maybe this is just want we need. I will get my adventure and I will come back happier."

(Than he said in another voice.)

(Drake) "Or maybe I won't return at all."

(And with that he went outside too go pick up Ally.)
