The Christmas Mermaid

Scene Fifteen

(Esmeralda) "She's worried but doesn't think your dead, let me show you."

(Esmeralda takes Drake's fin and takes him too one of the Classrooms.)

(Drake) "Okay new Seera, now that my fin hurts what do you mean? How do you know she's worried, but doesn't think I'm dead."

(Esmeralda) "Look, slow one."

(Drake looks around, there actually in a small building now. The door had a caution sign that Drake didn't notice because he was too busy wondering and talking about what Esmeralda said.)

(Drake) "Where are we at, and are we supposed to be here?"

(Esmeralda) "Dude, I'm trying to help you. This is the magic room, but it's really only for the teacher. I got a key along time ago. The day when I was a prankster this was my go to room. I switched keys one day, and I had to make a new key for myself. I took theirs, and gave them the new one. It actually didn't work, but they know magic anyway. Why do you think they put that caution sign there?"

(Drake) "That's because of you?"

(Esmeralda) "Yeah, the one and only legend. They freaked out because there is some very dangerous and important stuff in this room, and if the wrong person gets ahold of it. It can get really dangerous down here. Now no one has a key accept me, I haven't used it in years."

(Drake) "Wow, suprised it even works. You would think they would put a spell on the door too make it stay locked."

(Esmeralda) "They did with the generic keys, but this was the original. This key was made for this door."

(Drake starts to laugh.)

(Drake) "Well, if you say so. And let me guess if you destroyed the door the key would be lost. The door was made for the key."

(Esmeralda) "Somewhat."

(Drake) "I now pronounce you door and key."

(Drake laughs harder.)

(Esmeralda) "Oh, was that sarcasm?"

(There is some people talking amongst themselves.)

(Esmeralda) "I forgot how slow you are? Shhh, I hear something hurry close the door softly."
