The Christmas Mermaid

Scene Thirty One

{In Drake's room}

(Drake grabs the mirror and remembers what Esmeralda said to get it to work. He hopes that it will work and it didn't just work because she knows or has magic. He says the words and thinks about his girlfriend and it shows Ally sitting by herself in her room. She isolates herself from her family because her family keeps talking negatively about Drake and the fact he hasn't called yet. She can hear them in the next room. She starts too cry. It now has been a week and he knows he still has two more weeks left. He forgot all about calling her the entire week.)

(Drake) "I need to call her to let her know I'm still alive and that I haven't forgotten about her."

(Esmeralda walks into the room. Drake tries to hurry and hide the mirror. Esmeralda comes in looking at him suspiciously.)

(Esmeralda) "Hi, I came to check up on you to make sure your doing alright. Are you?"

(Drake) "Am I what?"

(Esmeralda) "Are you okay? All of this probably brought up alot from your past. And I..."

(Esmeralda looks down.)

(Esmeralda) "I don't want you to regret coming here. It's I guess been kind of cool having you here."

(Drake) "Thanks, I'm doing good."

(Drake was trying to get her out of the room because the mirror was still where you could see it.)

(Esmeralda) "Oh, that's good. So what are you doing?"

(Drake) "I was just going over some notes from magic class."

(Esmeralda) "Oh, that's good. Do you need any help?"

(He just couldn't get rid of her that night.)

(Esmeralda) "Why are you trying to get rid of me Drake?"

(Drake looks at Esmeralda strange.)

(Drake) "I'm not trying to get rid of you."

(Esmeralda) "Remember I can read minds, your not pulling anything over on me. What is this?"

(Drake looks like he wants to disappear.)

(Esmeralda) "Do not tell me you took this out of the magic closet?"

(Drake) "Okay, I won't."

(Esmeralda) "Do you know how much trouble we can get for you taking this?"

(Drake) "I'll say I just took it."

(Esmeralda) "No, they will ask how you found it? And they can read minds they will figure it out."

(Drake) "I'll take it back first thing in the morning."

(Esmeralda) "Drake, you don't realize that this mirror talks and if they find it's missing they will call it. It makes a loud noise for people to find it. This is bad, this is really bad."

(Drake) "I'm sorry. I was just trying to help you guys. I didn't want you to get involved."

(Esmeralda) "Well thank you for the concern. You may have caused alot of trouble not just for me but for my whole family. I just got my mom back."

(Drake) "What could happen?"

(Esmeralda) "You may have banished me from the ocean forever."
