Chapter 15 – Love is fair in war. (Bellona’s POV)

I immediately shook off Perrie, Danielle and Niall before charging into the forest to find Louis. I didn’t know what happened but anything that caused Kadisha to cry means that something extremely bad must’ve happened and in her state….she wouldn’t be able to tell me properly so it has to be up to the man who was left here with her.

I sprinted through the trees to find Louis crying by a tree. What the heck happened while I was away?! I walked up to Louis softly, just watching him cry and I rubbed against him comfortingly. He jumped up in surprise and I saw how red his eyes were and knew he had been crying for quite some time. I transformed back into human form and hugged him as he cried.

“What happened Louis?” I asked him in my soft, soothing voice.

“I d-don’t know Bells. K-Kadisha and I….I r-really like Kadisha! Hell I may even love her! But…but she doesn’t love me” He cried out to me. I immediately felt bad for the poor boy and hugged him.

“Louis Tomlinson, I tell you this now. Kadisha does like you; I would even go so far as to say she loves you. The reason why she isn’t with you is because of the fact of this cursed curse. She doesn’t want her heart and your heart to get broken by this curse. We could die…she doesn’t want you to go through the heart ache of loss” I said to him. I closed my eyes as I pictured my mother and father.

“The ache of loss Louis….of someone you love with all your heart….it’s more painful than being stabbed with a thousand knives. Take this from a soldier, it is painful” I joked. Louis gave a weak laugh through his tears.

“What do I do Bellona? I can’t…I can’t even look at her without my heart racing at a thousand miles per hour and my knees becoming weak and my stomach filling with butterflies! This is all just in one look! It’s so…painful to know I could never love her like how I want to” Louis cried out.

“I tell you what you must do Louis. You must let her go. But in saying that, be there for her when the curse breaks because if we live when the curse is gone, she will want you back” I said to him, wiping the tears off his cheek with my top.

“But…what if you die?” He whispered to me. I closed my eyes to stop the tears flowing down my face as I pictured a life without them….without Niall.

“Then as long as she knows you love her, there is nothing else you can do. I cannot control or force my sister to date you. She is scared Louis. Just be there for her” I said to him. He nodded and wiped away the tears.

“Thanks for that Bellona.” He said to me. I smiled at him and lifted him back onto his feet.

“We better head off; we need to get away from this place” I said to him. He nodded and I transformed back to a lioness and he jumped on and I sprinted back to the beach where everyone was waiting.

“Just in time everyone, grab hold of the ruby” Aislin smirked.

“Why?” Harry asked slowly but we all did as Aislin said and seconds later, I found myself back on the ship, staring into the eyes of the black Dragon.

“So you have succeeded; you are the first demi mortals and mortals to complete the full four houses of temptation and live to tell the tale” The dragon smirked at us.

“Here is the ruby you wished for great Dragon” Aislin said and gave the ruby to the Dragon.

“Ah; my precious ruby was stolen by the sirens many moons ago. I thank you for returning the ruby to me” The dragon said, taking the egg from Aislin.
