Chapter 18 – confessions (Harry’s POV)

I walked to Aislin’s room and knocked on the door. I had to talk to her! That confession of hers I knew was true. The truth that you could hear in that speech of hers convinced me that she did love me. She was just scared.

“Aislin; open up this door right now! We need to talk” I said to her through the door. The door flew open to reveal a stony faced Aislin. Her blue eyes studied me intensely.

“Harry, there is nothing to talk about-” She began but I cut off her off.

“You’re scared” I said to her and she stopped speaking sharply but pulled me into her room.

“Harry I am NOT scared. I am no coward” She said to me angrily.

“You’re no coward on the battle field but in emotions you are” I said to her deeply.

“Harry…” She trailed off but I wasn’t going to go down without a fight.

“Aislin….please just one chance is all I ask?” I begged of her. She hesitated before shaking her head but I wasn’t going to give up without a fight!

I looked at her in disbelief before wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her in for a kiss. It was filled with passion and deep desire for the other. Fire consumed my body with a single kiss from her. I broke the kiss; looking at her shocked but lust filled eyes.

“You can’t tell me you don’t have feelings for me Aislin” I whispered to her.

She and I kept eye contact which felt like forever. She held many emotions in her eyes and the ones that stood out to me the most were her guilt and love. She slowly took a deep breath and took a step back before looking at me.

“Loving me is dangerous right now, Harry. I don’t want to leave you broken hearted if I die…” She trailed off.

I took a step closer before stroking her face. She looked at me, tears in her eye, as I stroked her cheek.

“Love is a dangerous thing, Aislin.” I told her.

“Ok” She said after a moment of silence.

“What?” I asked her in disbelief again. She took another deep breath before looking at me.

“I will date you Harry, but please, try not to get more of an emotional attachment than you already have” She begged of me. I nodded before giving her a kiss on the cheek.

“Good night Aislin” I told her with a grin and I left the room.

I fell onto my bed, and for once, had the most peaceful dream of my life. There was just my band and their girlfriends, my fans…and now, my girlfriend, Aislin.

I woke up the next morning by Cadal. He smiled at me and told me how they had just started a slow journey to the northern dragon. He also told me how today, Bellona, Kadisha and Aislin may seem more moody because of the task ahead and believed it will cause a lot of pain.

“They won’t be physically hurt will they Cadal?” I asked the military officer. He shook his head and I sighed in relief.

“No, but, I am worried about what the next task will be. I have decided that we should take a break. Kadisha and Louis are having a romantic day together. Niall and Bellona are spending the day together as well. So if you wish you can join in with Zayn, Perrie, Liam and Danielle. Aislin is working on the prophecy with me so she wanted me to tell you to spend the day doing what you want.” Cadal chuckled.

“Cadal…what is the likelihood they will…die?” I choked out. Cadal paused for a second before frowning.

“I believe that death is a factor in this prophecy, Harry.” He began to say. My heart sank into my stomach and I felt sick. I didn’t want them to die.
