Chapter 17 – the next gift (Bellona’s POV)

We all stared at the black water in front of us. I notice Perrie and Danielle glance at each other nervously. We had no idea what lay down there, no idea what will happen… Cadal insisted we took the gifts just in case we needed it. I placed the scarf and fruit in the bag and thanked him for being here for us and he just smiled.

“Well, if this is it, I’m going in” Aislin said finally and she backed up a bit before diving into the water.

We all watched nervously but she didn’t come back up! We shared a glance nervously again mixed with anxiousness. Where was Aislin?! After a few minutes, Harry got impatient.

“I’m going in after that stubborn girl” He muttered before, he too, dived into the water.

“We better go too” Liam, Perrie, Danielle and Zayn said before they dived in after Aislin and Harry.

“Kadisha? Louis?” I nudged them. They smiled at me and nodded before diving in too. I was about to when I was whirled around by Niall. He had the most adorable serious face; my heart just had to melt.

“If we don’t make it out alive…” He began but he trailed off and kissed me hard and passionately.

It was a short kiss, but I could feel every emotion Niall had to offer to me. The ones that stood out the most were his need for me but also his LOVE for me. I kissed him back with just as much emotion and he moaned slightly before we broke apart. He winked at me before diving into the water. I stood there, slightly frozen for a second before I smiled and dived into the water too.

At first, I felt nothing but then I felt as if I was being pulled to the water by some unknown force. I struggled to get back to the surface but soon the pace of the force increased and I felt my feet touch the ground and suddenly, I felt as if I could breathe!

I turned to see everyone looking up and I noticed the sea creatures in the ocean watching us in amazement. I hear a soft laugh and I turned to see a young girl with silvery blonde hair and ice blue eyes with pale skin, standing by a magnificent castle.

The castle looked like one out of a fairy tale story! There was a beautiful underwater garden and the whole palace looked so grand I had to gasp at it. I reminded me a bit of Cinderella to be perfectly honest.

“Come with me, we must begin bargaining before the barrier breaks” Scorpion said to us before we followed him into the grand palace.

We walked down the long corridors before we entered into the throne room. It was made out of pure gold and the ceiling was bewitched to look like the sky. I had to say, it looked like Hogwarts! That’s when the business will begin.

LOUIS’S POV

We sat on plush velvet seats while the Dragon, Scorpion, in human form, sat opposite us. She smirked at us and we instantly went into business mode. I just prayed this worked! Aislin and the dragon immediately began to bargain with the princess’ priceless treasures.

At first, I thought Aislin was bargaining was for the gift but soon I discovered she was not just trying to bargain for the gift but also for information on the next Dragon and task. There was a lot of swapping and trading and regaining.

I glanced at Kadisha who kept looking at Aislin in worry. I grasped her hand and squeezed lightly, trying to give her a sense of comfort. She looked at me and smiled gratefully but didn’t let go of my hand.

“Can I please show the others the priceless treasures I have? I promise no harm will come to them and I will trade any information on the task of the next dragon as possible” Scorpion said.
