Odair He Is

My mouth hung open in surprise. Annie, Finnick, and their son were standing at my door, and they were all alive. I wouldn't let myself accept it. It was just another dream. It had to be.

"Katniss, who is it?" Peeta asked while walking closer to the door, still groggy from just waking up. He turns the corner to see the door and all of the Odairs standing there.

"But... How? How is this possible?" I ask.

"Can we come in? Finn is getting cold," Annie says. I just open the door a little wider for them and stare at Finnick with my mouth still hung open in disbelief. Peeta and I sit on the love seat adjacent to the couch out guests are on and look expectantly at them.

"So," Finnick says. He even sounds the same.

"You shouldn't be here, Finnick," Peeta says cautiously. I think he's in just as much shock as I am.

"Well, I am. It's pretty crazy how it's possible. I was in the sewer with the lizard mutts and Katniss, you tried to come back to save me. Peeta made you keep climbing the ladder and the next thing I knew, you were shouting nightlock at the Holo. When you threw it down, it didn't destruct as quickly as we all thought. The mutts were startled by the noise and got distracted, so they went towards it. When you threw it, it bounced off of one of the mutts, so it wasn't in the pile of mutts and me at the time. When they scattered to check out whatever made the noise, I had a chance to escape their jaws, but at that point, my face and arms were losing blood quickly because they didn't waste time devouring me. The Holo went off and they were coming back for me. I ran, or limped, rather, as fast as I could, but a stone was thrown at the mutts. I saw a person draw their attention and before they were attacked, they nodded their head and that's when I knew I had to run. It may have been an Avox, I'm really not sure. But I found a service elevator that took me to a home in the Capitol, and it was one of the many citizens that had told me their secrets. Because they wanted to enjoy my company, they didn't turn me in. Luckily, she had a small amount of medical supplies that she could bandage up as much as possible. I blacked out after the adrenaline was gone and woke up in a hospital room. I stayed there for over two months getting treated and having my muscles grown back. I then went home to Annie, who was about four months pregnant, and now here we are. Am I missing anything?" Finnick explains. Nobody speaks. We're all still too shocked.

A/N: Yeah. So, Finnick. If you want him dead, tell me. I can get rid of him... 😈 AP tests are over! Woo! And I don't get my scores back till the day after my birthday in over a month... Welp, I'll try to post this and the next chapter soon even though I have no clue what to write about now... Any ideas, just comment or message me. I've already got a proposal planned, but that'll be quite a few more chapters from now. Sorry.
