Chop, Chop

Looking around the dark room, I saw nothing of particular interest at first. Besides the two tables and boxes, nothing stood out. That was until I noticed something to my left. An axe was hanging from a crate of some kind. Walking over to it, I pull on it. It comes out after some time, and I pick it back up.

Walking back out of the room, I encounter Mono, who was waiting for me. I show him the axe, and he puts his hand out, asking for said axe. As I give it to him, I look back over to the boards. I could vaguely see a figure of a person sitting down. They seem to be doing something...although I cannot figure out what.

Mono waves me over to him, and I look at what he was showing me. He points towards a bag that has a bad smell emitting from it. Reluctantly looking inside the bag, I see something I shouldn't have.

Body parts, all stuffed into a single brown bag. A hand there, a leg there...it was gross. I quickly turn my head away from the bag, trying not to gag. Despite dead bodies being relatively normal occurrences, they aren't normally cut up into pieces!

Mono backs away from the bag, looking to the floor. I pat his shoulder, attempting to comfort him - but failing. He looks back towards me and whispers something. "Do you think that's...what that guy is going to do to them?"

Before I can respond, he shakes his head. "That's even more of a reason to save them! Come on, let's go." He drags the axe I handed him over to the fragile door. I follow, trying to forget what we just saw in that bag.

As Mono walks past me, axe trailing behind him...I feel bad for the hostage. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit intimidated by the axe. He walks over to the boards and stops for a moment. I walk beside him, but making sure not to be too close. I don't want him accidentally chopping my head off while he's swinging it.

He raises the axe above his head, taking some effort to lift it above the ground. And as soon as he lifted it, it came back down. And again...and again. He continued until he deemed it enough to enter. As that was happening, the person inside scoots back under a table. When they do that, the music stops. It seems that person was the cause of the music. Honestly, if I was that person, I would be scared too...if suddenly an axe was chopping through the wall aggressively.

Mono drops the axe, and enters the room with caution. I slowly trail behind him, not wanting to scare the person further. Mono stops in front of the table and extends his hand out. The person under the table slowly crawls out, wary of our presence. After a moment, the person slowly starts to accept Mono's hand...until they suddenly halt their movement.
