Maybe...once the teacher turns around...then I can move forward. It's risky, but there might be a key up ahead. I wait a moment for her to turn around, then I make my move. I slowly inch forward, but also trying not to be too slow. It's a hard balance to manage.

Noticing that she's going to turn around soon, I hide behind a nearby desk and hope that by some miracle she doesn't see me. She turns around and scans the students, missing me...who is behind one of their desks.

Trying to steady my unstable breathing, I wait for her to turn back around. After confirming that the students were still paying attention, she continues writing on the chalkboard. Once more, I get out of my safe hiding spot and head over to the next desk. I quickly hide behind there, hoping she doesn't catch me.

Once more, she looks over at all of the students. The door in front of me is so close now. Just a little bit more. The teacher continues writing, and I take this chance to inch my way into the open door.

Inside, there was a bookshelf in front of me. Looking on top of it, I see something shiny. I don't know quite what it is, but curiosity got the best of me. Walking over towards the bookshelf, I start climbing it, shelf by shelf. I almost make it to the top...until the bookshelf topples over. Panicking, I detach myself from the shelf, and jump off back on to the ground.

BANG

The bookshelf fell to the ground with enough sound that it alerted someone that I didn't want to hear. The teacher. She heard the sound and quickly rushed over to the room I am currently in. I frantically look around for somewhere to hide, and notice a box nearby that could potentially work.

I dash into the box, and hold my breath so that she doesn't hear me. The door creaks open, and I see her head peek out. However...then she starts extending her head outwards, into the room. She stretches her neck as she searches every inch of the room, her body still inside the doorframe.

Somehow, by sheer luck, she doesn't check the box I am in. Seeing as nobody was in the room, she retracts her neck back into place and shuts the door. When she shuts the door, however, the force of it shutting was enough to open a nearby vent. I nervously exit the box, but before I head towards the vent...I notice something on the ground.

Near the bookshelf that had previously fallen and started that whole mess, was a shiny key. So that's what was on top of the bookshelf! Walking over to it, I pick it up. Good thing it's actually easy to carry. Now, I walk over to the newly opened vent.

Peeking outside, I see the classroom once more. It turns out that this vent leads into some cabinets on the floor. I open the cabinet doors a bit to see what's happening. The teacher now isn't writing anything. Now she seems to be watching the students more closely.

She walks over to one of their desks, and I quietly make my way behind the teachers desk. Peeking around the corner of the desk, she has left that student and walked over to another. Nervously waiting for the right moment to move, I continue watching her. She goes over to a student, and after a moment...

SLAP

She smacked her ruler down onto the desk, startling both me and the student. She seems like a really strict teacher. Wait, no, I can't be thinking about this! I need to move while she's distracted. Inching my way out of the teachers desk, I try to quietly make my way towards the door to exit the room.  However...luck was not on my side.

With a screech, she noticed me and alerted the students. Knowing that I have a high chance of death here, I sprint towards the door. The teacher gives chance, but as she's a bit slower than me, she uses her neck to her advantage. She extends her neck outward and attempts to grab me with her mouth. Narrowly dodging, I keep running.

Please say I will make it out of this alive...
