POV Dex

Of course. The weirdo in the gang gets weirder. No I'm not talking about Fitz and his gorgeous teal eyes. I'm talking about me, the gay Dizznee.

Yes. I'm gay. I'm falling for Fitz Vacker. 

The perfect person. If I was in Sophie's shoes I would be over the moon.

"Ugh...." I sigh.

"Dex are you okay, you don't seem very focused." Sophie says. 

Sophie, the only girl I've ever liked. For a little while I liked Tam, B's boyfriend. He's straighter than a line.

"I'm not." 

Fitz Vacker will be the end of me.

"Why?"

I shouldn't love a guy, let alone the enemy.

"I'll tell you later."

Fitz Vacker joined the Neverseen. 

Doomed my love life.

Cause Sophie rejected him.

"When is later?" Sophie asks.

Shoot she's onto me. 

Oh well. I'll tell her today after school.

"Later is today just not now today." I say.

Sophie lets it go though I can tell she's worried.

I'm a little mad at her.

I would never have learned gay existed if Sophie hadn't come. But then again I'd still be the weird boy.

RING! RING! BRING! RING!

That's the bell. Has time really passed that fast? 

I glance at the clock. Yup.

"Dex!" That's Sophie, Mallowmelt. " You are coming over, right?" She asks.

"Yea...." I trail off, signaling for Sophie to go ahead.

"Havenfield!" light flashes and she disappears.

I'm the only one left in the room until a light flashes as someone leaps into the foyer.

"Who are you?" I ask, blinking from the blast of light.

"Gah!!" The figure whirls around and my gaze locks with a pair of teal eyes. " Oh, Dex, it's just you." Fitz sigh in relief.

"What do you mean it's just me?" I ask trying to be, to be angry.

"Oh I mean that you're the least likely to tell anyone I'm here." Fitz continues.

"Really? What's stopping me from hailing Sophie right now?" I taunt, even now I know I won't be able too.

"Because, Dex, You're not subtle, I know you like me more than as a friend. I ran to the Neverseen because I was scared. I was scared because I like you too. I thought maybe if I left you'd hate me, then I could go back to disliking Dizznee's. Please Don't tell anyone I'm here, I'm begging you." Fitz explains.

"How do I know this isn't some plot and that you're not reading my mind?" 

"I'll prove it. Close your eyes."

I do as I'm told and I hear his footsteps drawing closer. Soft lips brush against my cheek.

"Same place same time?" Fitz whispers into my ear.
