Okay, how to explain this?
So basically, you know how the dehumanised AU is a thing? Okay, but what if it was the other way around? I need to explain something before I get into this more.
Alright, so Airy is like an actual god of some sort, but an object that can change to a human at will. And like he wanted to make a show, like an actual show for the humans to watch. Using his powers, he creates the Plane. He wants to make a competition show but will need contestants. But, since he lives in the object world, it will seem unusual for a bunch of animate objects to compete in the show. So what does he do? That's right, he turns them into humans. How they look is totally up to you, same thing with Airy.
ONE would basically be the same except the contestants are humans, needing to adjust to that. They still get their object names so Airy knows which human is what.
Now, Airy does get his show to the telly but it has very little viewers. He also has a little website for the viewers to vote on the contestants, but it never got used, leaving Airy to take the eliminations into his own hands. Also the deaths and injuries in the show are seen to be fake and acted out to the viewers, not knowing it was all real.
Batch 2. Objects from the human realm. How do they work? Simply turn them into humans too, letting them really live like humans. Oh what was that? Batch 3? Do the same but they look less human. Viewers would believe they're under CGI or some sh*t.
Now, we were talking about eliminations earlier, weren't we? Well, what happens with those? They get sent home as objects, right? Nope. Well, except for some of Batch 3. Batch 2 will be sent back but as humans, letting them live out like their superiors. Batch 1? They get sent to the human realm too and this isn't just a little f**k up by Airy, oh no, this was on purpose.
So basically, going with how ONE goes, Liam would have to deal with being a human, trying to find human Bryce, who's had to adapt to this strange world since it is basically their lives but they aren't objects. They can't change into objects either. ONE from this point, is literally the same except some interactions may be different considering the fact they're humans and will probably talk about that.
So it goes all the same, The smokestack, The Waiting Room, meeting a different version of Owen that Liam pretends to know, finding Airy, trying to use the computer. All that. But that's in the human realm.
Here's the twist, since no-one was sent back to their own earth, the object one, they've all been missing. All of Batch 1 are missing. The police and their friends/family/co-workers are on the case, they didn't just presume them dead like Liam because they all disappeared on the same day to just lead to that. You want to know what their only source of finding out what happened is? That's right, the show on the TV. Airy had accidentally put it onto the TVs in the object world but they were on a channel that literally no-one watches. The missing contestants would Most likely be recognised due to their voices and maybe their object names, but they have been called their actual names in the show too, so there's also that. How do they find the show? What do they do to find the contestants? I don't know, you get to decide that.
Sorry if this was explained very badly and it seems like everything is just jumbled up and mixed up. The idea came to me last night and I just don't know how to explain it.
Also, anyone is free to yoink this AU and write the story because I'm sure as hell not gonna make the story for it because I don't know how to even start with this (and the fact I have enough going on already-) do uh yeah.
