"There he is. I need a few minutes to talk with him, and then I'll leave. Be right back." Aarav replied to the big man. Then he dragged his friend behind a tree.
Aarav's POV
I dragged Abhay behind the trees so no one could see or hear us. When we reached a safe spot, I let him go and turned around.
"What happened, Aarav? Why did you suddenly drag me here?" Abhay asked me as soon as I let him go.
"I was wandering in the tower, so I decided to visit. But, what happened inside the boss room for you guys to be this depressed?"
I saw my friend's face fall on my question.
"We lost. It turned out that the boss was way stronger than we thought. Although it did not have the extreme regeneration of the Guardian, its single punch was enough to knock us down. It also has disgustingly high agility stats."
"By the way, why did you come here?" Abhay continued.
"Well, I've been bored of hunting weak monsters for a while, so I thought it would be fun with you guys. But you look like it wasn't so much fun." I replied.
"Yeah, we were beaten very badly. Two guys even lost their limbs."
"If you lost that badly, why is the team still not disbanded?" I asked.
"Earlier, Captain Riaan took a scout team inside again to gauge the boss's strength and defences. So now we have a better chance of beating him. But we still don't know how to deal with its speed." He explained.
"Let me help you with that." I dug around in my bag, grabbed a small bottle (approx 10 ml), and handed it to him.
"What's this?" he asked with a puzzled expression.
"It's my blood." Hearing my words, Abhay jumped in surprise.
"What? Why would you give me something like this? Who in the world keeps their blood in a bag?"
I laughed at his terrified face.
"Calm down. Remember my skill, 'blood poison'? I can easily extract this much of my blood and turn it into poison. You don't have to worry about it. Some blood loss is not going to kill me." He calmed down a bit.
"Then this-"
"Yeah, this blood has already been turned into poison. Pour it on your arrow and shoot it at the boss. It will take effect after a few minutes. Though it's my first time using the ability, so the poison will not be lethal. But It will surely slow down the boss to some extent. And what do you know? There are chances that it will become paralysed."I explained. Abhay looked at the bottle with hope in his eyes.
"I owe you this, bro. Thanks a lot." He said.
"No problem. Just don't forget to let me know the details later." Abhay became confused by my remark.
"What? Why?" He asked.
"Well, I'm gonna try to solo the boss after I reach level 12 or something."
"But you know, we are not exactly sure that the boss will be resurrected in the boss room even after being defeated."
"Well, the boss will likely be resurrected in the boss room," I replied confidently.
"Why do you think so? Personally, I don't want to see it again if we defeat it today." Abhay shuddered at the thought.
"Think about it. That thing has its own room on the 1st floor. What will happen to the room if the boss is not present? I doubt this tower will give us a free room just because we defeated a monster on the first floor."
