Time Skip (about 2 hrs)

Aarav's POV

It has been almost 2 hours since all this started. In this time, waves of slime containing roughly 10-15 monsters continously rushed at us. Many suffered from injuries and a few even died from being suffocated by the monster. the rest did relatively well, considering their mentality of seeing corpses for the first time. Everyone in the crowd was able to eventually adapt to the goo that's hell bent on killing us.

The curly-haired fat guy was doing better than most, chopping down the monsters with a large axe. What surprised me the most was that timid blondie, he was acting so scared at the start, even started crying; but look at him now, fighting beside me, penetrating the monsters.

'I guess the otakus will be the quickest to adapt to this new environment. this kind of trope is very common in fantasy novels.'

"There are only a few minutes left until the time is up." I announced. Every person was fired up, thinking they could finally return to their normal lives after this strange event. But, who know???

 'Guess we have some time until the rewards are calculated'.

I had thanked a few people for their constant support, I looked at my status window. I had been restlessly killing slimes each and every wave. So it's not surprising I reached level 5.

'Sword's trial, I like the name.'

I opened the skill description out of curiosity. A new panel popped up.

'Shame, it's not an aggressive skill. But I wonder what will happen once I reach 100% proficiency?.' I pondered on the thought.

Interrupting my thought process, the voice spoke again.

[Rewards calculated][Distributing Rewards....]

[Reward +5 skill points distributed to the participant. We appreciate your patience.]

At that moment, my mind started running again.

I gathered a total of 20 skill points, so I started asking around about their effects. A bit later, I got to know that 1 skill point increases a single stat of choice by 5. And with every level up, the HP stat increases by 20, and the MP stat increases by 10. 

'Guess I'll have to focus on the remaining three. But first, I should restore those stats which were decreased during the status window generation.' I thought.
