After the meeting with Nedzu, the week passed in peace and everyone dreaded the coming Sunday. No one knew what would happen when they meet back up with Dabi or how he would act. It was going to be awkward – they were sure of that.
And the most one who dreaded seeing the one who kidnapped him at his actual age was Bakugou. The teen didn't know what to do, he cared about Touya, but there was a part of him that was still afraid of Dabi. He still has nightmares of the day he was kidnapped.
But no one said a word, not even Bakugou dared to say a word even though Touya and Keigo asked what was making them nervous. Thank God, they didn't find out about the Kamino incident on the internet, especially Touya, he was going through a lot at the moment. Remembering what happened to him on the streets - it took a huge toll on him and it made him distance himself from them.
So, everyone was on high alert when the next Sunday came. Bakugou was a second away from blowing up the dorm building from how nervous he was. He was glaring at everyone who dared to speak with him, which were Midoriya, Kirishima, and Kaminari.
And Shoto was ready to defend his brother, looking ready to attack anyone who looked at his brother wrong , even if his brother was wrong, he was changing! ‐ that's what Shoto was trying to convince himself with.
Footsteps could be heard as they sat in the kitchen and the whole class tensed, everyone was seated in their place, a stack of pancakes in front of them (made by Bakugou who was stressed out the whole night and began taking out his frustration on cooking food).
Silence filled the room as Touya and Keigo appeared in the kitchen doorway, they stared at the students as the latter stared back.
"Touya, are you —."
"Keigo —."
Both Tokoyami and Shoto stopped speaking when Touya flinched violently at the sound of their voices, as if he had just realized that there were others in front of him. His breathing became the only thing that could be heard in the uncomfortable silence that filled the kitchen again.
"Sorry," Touya muttered, his heart beating in his chest, he tried to smile at the students in front of him, but he failed miserably and it took him a few more minutes to move toward his seat, his gaze was on the ground and Keigo followed him.
The silence that followed echoed like a death knell and almost everyone looked at the two. while Bakugou and Shoto were busy staring at Touya to give Keigo a second glance.
Does he remember? – The question kept running through Bakugou's mind and then he glared at his plate as it offended him. So, what if he remembered? You forgave him – a voice replayed inside Bakugou's head and he glared even more at the plate.
Keigo couldn't let the silence stand, he felt the students' gazes on them, especially on Touya, but it seemed that the latter didn't seem to notice anything. He blew out a sigh and felt his talons scratch against his scalp where he had brought a hand up to run it through his hair, they are just teenagers! Say something – a voice inside his head snapped and he found himself saying the first thing that came into his mind. "Bakugou, you are going to kill the plate with your glare." He joked (it was a terrible joke and he didn't even know why he choose to speak with Bakugou, the teen looked ten seconds away from murdering them.)
Bakugou's head snapped to where Keigo was sitting and his glare settled on him instead of the plate. "Shut up, Keigo!" He glowered.
"Hey! What is wrong with you?" Keigo snapped back.
"You –." but Bakugou didn't continue as Momo cut him off, glaring at him and Keigo.
"Bakugou, Keigo, please." She said, pleading for them to stop arguing. Bakugou was about to yell at her, but then he followed her gaze to where Touya was sitting.
