"You are looking so beautiful," Jungkook, eyeing his girlfriend, said in his husky tone to her ears while the professor was teaching whatever that they didn't listen to. Once she heard what he said, her cheeks turned pink in blush, and he wouldn't forget how she smiled, looking at her fidgeting fingers.
She put on the cologne he brought for her and he admired it, whiffing his favourite perfume. "We can go out today, right?" Lori questioned, turning to him and it was only heard by him. He hummed instantly, smiling widely, looking at her with his adorable eyes.
"Sorry to interrupt," a voice was heard, making every one of them in the lecture hall, including Jungkook and Lori look at the source of the voice.
It was YN.
The already silenced hall was focused on the girl who was inside a different department from what she was pursuing. She was here for a reason and only she knows it.
"Yes?" The professor spoke, stopping his lecture and turning to the girl. She smiled briefly at him before turning to the pupils. She started speaking something but her eyes didn't seem to stay in one place as if she was wanting to see someone in here and that was why she came all along, crossing every block.
"So, a fest is coming up in 2 months. My friend here is the captain of the volleyball team. We are participating on behalf of our university, well, many top universities will be fighting against us. You can join your hands, and we will select the apt ones. Anyone's interested?"
The students looked at each other and they were deciding on something. That was the moment for her to look around quickly and her eyes fell on Jungkook. It didn't go unnoticed how her body tensed and excited as well.
Jungkook was talking to Lori, about whether he should go or not. He was always good at it, making the fact that YN might be there, made him think a lot before making a decision. Since her eyes fell on Jungkook, she couldn't look anywhere. As if there was only him in the room.
"Guys, we don't have all day," YN spoke, gaining her attention again. Two of the boys and a girl raised their hands. "Yeah, please say your names," she asked, her friend who was next to her was taking his phone to take note of it. As they said their names, YN smiled at them and she noticed that Lori was staring at her.
Once their eyes met, they smiled at each other and that was when Jungkook's eyebrows furrowed tight. "Did she just smile at you?" Jungkook questioned Lori and she looked at him with wide eyes. "Oh yeah, something happened and I forgot to tell you," Lori said but she was interrupted when YN spoke to the class.
"Okay then, you can meet us in the field after 5 PM," YN said and turned to the professor. "Thanks for your time, Sir," she said and quickly left the class. But she didn't fail to give a last look at Jungkook and Lori before heading out.
"You should've told your name as well, Jungkook," Lori said and Jungkook raised his brow. "I'm not interested, Lori. But will you tell me what happened?"
Lori sighed a deep breath before speaking up. She didn't know how he would react to her. "On the other day at the library, I needed membership for this book but thankfully she lend me her ID. She helped me, Jungkook," she said and Jungkook looked away from her in an instant to calm himself down.
"Jungkoo-"
"Did you just seek help from her?" He raged out and she backed out at how his voice was a shouty whisper. This was the first ever time, seeing him mad at her and she didn't know the reason. "Jungkook, please,"
"Don't you remember the way she talked to you in the first meeting? Did you forget it?" Jungkook spits and now she understood why he didn't like YN at all.
"Ahh, I know how much it would've hurt you, but she was kind to me," She tried to hold his hand.
"She is a crazy woman and especially with her idiotic friends," Jungkook yanked her hand away and that was when they were caught by everyone's attention.
"You both can leave my class now," the professor spoke sternly. Jungkook and Lori stood up, apologising to him before going out of the class.
Once they were out, Lori held his hand tightly. "My Jungkookie, look at me," she said, talking sweetly with her voice, making him calm down, but yet he wouldn't forget the fact they talked with each other.
"Jungkook," she called, making him turn at her and she instantly flashed a smile at him. "You don't want me to talk with her?" Lori questioned and he nods without wasting any second. "Okay, then. I will not talk to her."
"Look, I'm not forcing you to stop doing things, but I don't feel she's good enough to have you," Jungkook said, making her sigh. "I understand you. I will not do it again,"
"Okay, then we can go out now," Jungkook said and her eyes widened. "What about classes?" Lori questioned, looking at her class. "Let's bunk them, baby,"
Lori giggled before holding his hand and walking outside with him.
"But, you know. I want you to go to Volleyball. Even if you don't get selected, it's a win-win right?" Lori said and Jungkook thinks about it before speaking.
"I will go in the evening, but I just don't want to be around her," Jungkook scrunched his nose and Lori chuckled. "It's not like you are going to get distracted because of her, Jungkook. Please don't lose your opportunity and talent on something you don't care about."
Jungkook nodded before staring at her. "Anything for you," He smiled.
Dropping Lori in the house, Jungkook came back to college, only to walk towards the Volleyball field. He looked like a lost kid and once he saw a few people sitting together, discussing something, Jungkook let out a sigh before walking towards them.
Jungkook recognized the guy who was with YN in the class. The captain of the team.
He walked towards him and stopped in front of him, gaining his attention. "You?" He asked, looking at Jungkook with a questionable face. "Um, I want to play with you guys. Sorry, I just decided and I didn't give my name earlier as well,": Jungkook said and the guy nodded his head.
"That's fine, you can sit over there," he instructed. Jungkook sat with them, smiling at the ones that were staring at him. "So, I'm Bryce, in my final year. Don't forget to show what you have and this will one of the best chances to make one of you the next captain," He giggles, cheering up everyone.
"Hey, I forgot you. What's your name?" Bryce turned to Jungkook and Jungkook straightened up. "I am"
"Jeon Jungkook,"
Bryce and Jungkook turned to the voice where YN was walking in. Jungkook's lips parted apart and his doe eyes widened when YN came to the place, licking her favourite lollipop.
"And this will be your mentor, YN," Bryce giggled and YN hit his arm. "He is joking. I know nothing about Volleyball but I will be taking care of all of you," YN said and her eyes fell on Jungkook.
Jungkook gulped staring back at her.
Little did he know that it was the beginning of everything.
