"Lori, he won't harm you ever again! He won't go after you in the future! I promise to you!" Jungkook's voice was reassuring and determined as he consoled Lori on the phone. He was determined to keep his word and make sure the suffering she had gone through would not happen again. Even though they were only speaking over the phone, Lori found comfort in his presence and the warmth of his words.

Even though Jungkook and Lori only suffered a slight bodily bruising, it had a profound emotional impact on them. His concern for her beyond her outward injuries; it reached deep into his heart, where he bore the weight of witnessing her suffering.

Lori had a sense of stability and healing starting to take root with Jungkook's resolute support. His words and deeds were replete with expressions of his commitment to her welfare. As she listened to him at that very moment, she realised she wasn't alone. Her vow from Jungkook served as a beacon of hope that let her see past her agony and into a better future.

Mixed feelings raced through Jungkook as he turned down Lori's call and flopped down on his bed. His mind was filled with thoughts as he considered the previous incidents and the commitment he had given Lori. He tried to soothe her, but he was unable to escape the gravity of the situation.

At that moment, his phone rang once more, with YN's name appearing on the caller ID. The mere mention of her name had his pulse skip a beat, a glimmer of eagerness lighting up within him. Jungkook sat up on his bed and stared at the shining screen of his phone, debating whether or not to answer.

The phone was still ringing when Jungkook hesitated, his fingers lingering over it. His internal struggle grew more intense as he struggled with his feelings. Something kept him from answering, a weight that tethered him to his thoughts even if he wanted to hear YN's voice.

Reluctantly, Jungkook sighed heavily and put the phone down, watching as the ringing stopped and was replaced by quiet. Being aware that he was unable to share the weight that was pressing hard on his shoulders with YN made his heart hurt.

Jungkook reclined on his bed and closed his eyes, a tornado of sorrow and uncertainty racing through his head. Even though he knew what he was doing was going to hurt YN, he felt unable to stop it at that particular time. Despite the pain it caused him, Jungkook couldn't deny that he was indeed left with no choice.

YN was sitting by herself in the canteen when she had a lot of worries about Jungkook's actions lately. She was feeling uneasy and confused about what to do next as a result of the missed calls and ignored texts. The canteen's normal surroundings were overshadowed by a persistent sensation of discomfort that she was unable to ignore.

Though YN was deep in thought, she noticed Lori approaching with a smile on her face. YN smiled back, happy to have the companionship and the diversion from her own troubles despite her own fears.
