Not believing her good fortune, YN's heart raced as she sat across from Jungkook. His mother's exquisite food and warm smile added to the surreal ambience. Every look that was shared felt like a golden moment that was stolen. Unquestionably charming, Jungkook's presence filled the room with warmth in his eyes. YN was mesmerized by his every word and action, caught in his sight. Dinner evolved from a simple meal into a treasured moment that would always be a part of her. As the evening went on, YN understood that dreams could come true, particularly with Jungkook around.

"That's Jungkook's favourite. Lori used to have this every time she came home!" YN was intrigued by Jungkook's mother's comment regarding his favourite food, but Jungkook was taken aback by YN's sly smirk. His interest was piqued and he couldn't help but wonder how she was able to find out such personal information about him. But he chose to leave the enigma alone as he noticed her bright grin and the familiar glitter in her eyes. With a shrug, he considered the fact that YN seemed to have an almost magical understanding of him.

YN was extremely moved by Jungkook's mother's gesture, and the warmth in her words enveloped her like a reassuring embrace. YN felt valued in a way she had never felt before just by having a room ready for her and clothes available. Her heart grew full with thanks, and she spoke without thinking, showing the kind of innate tenderness one would save for their own mother. Calling her "mom" felt oddly correct, like it had been waiting to slip out of her mouth the entire time.

YN hurriedly corrected herself, embarrassed by her slip of the tongue, but Jungkook's mother just grinned and shook her head gently, brushing off the formality. Her insistence on being referred to as "mum" gave YN a sense of belonging that she hadn't experienced in a while. YN thought about the new bond she had developed with Jungkook's family as she said goodnight to her and headed to her bed.

"Being pursued by a person like Mike is a sign that you shouldn't be alone! There's a risk!" YN felt a comforting balm of protective care from Jungkook, his comments reiterating a feeling she had become accustomed to. She turned to look at him, a grin tugging at the corners of her lips as she expressed her gratitude for his constant support.

A flicker of fear flickered through her when he mentioned Mike, a reminder of the dangers waiting outside. In the same breath, though, YN took comfort in Jungkook's presence—a constant source of strength among the confusion. "I have you," she whispered quietly, her confidence bursting from her voice.

As she closed the door between them, YN couldn't shake the lingering sense of gratitude that filled her heart. She took time to gather her thoughts while leaning against the strong barrier, ruminating on the significance of her words and the feelings they evoked.

On the other side of the door, Jungkook stood there unmoved, a strange feeling seeping into the core of his soul. Her words resonated in his head, causing a strange mixture of feelings to arise. He found himself amazed and enthralled by the sudden depth of their relationship as if a curtain had been pulled.

Even when YN fell asleep, comforted by the warmth of his house and the familiarity of her surroundings, Jungkook was unable to give in to sleep's embrace. Even at this late hour, with the weight of it all on his eyelids, he could not find rest.

Thoughts whirled wildly about in his head, holding him bound to consciousness. The odd feeling that had crept into him since his previous conversation with YN was something he was unable to get rid of. Her words rang in his mind, engulfing him in a contemplative spell.

Throughout the evening, Jungkook struggled to express the feelings that sparked within him and considered the importance of his relationship with YN. His curiosity only grew with each passing second, driving him to solve the puzzles of his own heart.

YN occupied Lori's thoughts as she tossed and turned all night long. Despite her best efforts, she was unable to fall asleep because of the ongoing anguish that was building inside her heart.

Lori's thoughts were filled with memories of their time together, each one serving as a bittersweet reminder of their bond. Something was wrong, and she was stuck with the uneasy feeling that always lurked beneath the surface.

The weight of Jungkook's emotions hung heavily in the air as he stood at YN's door, his pulse racing with anticipation. His desire to see her intensified with every second that went by, making him want to find solace in her company.

YN's drowsy gaze met Jungkook's when she eventually opened the door, and he was mesmerized by what he saw. Her sleepy-eyed innocence had a raw beauty that left him speechless, even despite her messy appearance.

Jungkook was so in awe of her that he was unable to take his eyes off her, and his heart was overflowing with admiration. Time seemed to stop still for him as he took in her beauty and committed every aspect to memory in that brief moment.

"How long are you going to stare at me like that? I didn't even brush!" He cleared his throat in response to YN's knowing jest. "Didn't you sleep?" Jungkook's red eyes confessed the reality of his sleepless night when YN questioned him about how little sleep he had gotten. Anxious to shift the topic, he hesitated a while before rushing to explain about his early practice. Before Lori could get to the university, he had to drop YN.

After saying a brief goodbye, Jungkook hurried to his room, leaving YN to get ready for the next day. YN couldn't help but grin to herself as he vanished from sight, a warmth rising within her at the memory of his worry.

Jungkook couldn't help but feel embarrassed over his bike-related tragedy when he dropped YN off at the university. He tried to look calm, but YN's laughter echoed in his ears and made his cheeks red a little.

In an attempt to preserve some sort of dignity, Jungkook hastily rattled off a litany of explanations for his bike's erratic attitude, brushing off her enjoyment with a sheepish smile.

Recollecting YN's laughter playing like a lovely tune in his head, Jungkook couldn't help but smile to himself as he rode back to Lori's house.

YN still remembered how Jungkook had been staring at her through the mirror on their way to the university.

YN's heart ached at the sight of her friend's pain as she put a gentle, consoling hand on Lori's shoulder. She assured Lori, "I'm okay, really," cracking a small grin in spite of the underlying agony.

Lori's sobbing did not stop, and YN experienced a wave of guilt. She was aware that her friend was undoubtedly really concerned about her, and the idea of causing Lori any distress was very distressing to her. Tears were streaming from Lori's eyes as she tenderly touched YN's facial and hand wounds.

"YN, you shouldn't pardon him. He ought to be in jail!" Knowing what had occurred to YN, Lori said. When they took their seats, YN shrugged indifferently at Lori's worry, but under her easy smile, a tornado of feelings swirled inside of her.

"Let's head to our classes after breakfast. Jungkook must be waiting for you." YN stated. "He walked out after saying he had to go somewhere. Not in the class!" Lori replied, causing YN's eyes to narrow.

"Not in the lesson? But where did he go?"
