Even though YN was having a great time shopping and visiting new places with her friends, she couldn't help but feel pain in her heart for Jungkook and Lori. Though she and the other people engaged her mind and emotions, her thoughts frequently returned to them despite the fun and companionship she experienced with them.

She couldn't help but worry whether Jungkook was considering her if he was feeling the loss of her in his life as well. The doubt tormented her, obscuring the generally happy memories of their journey.

When the excitement of their experiences diminished and she had some alone time, YN lost herself in reflection, missing the comfort of Lori's company and the familiarity of Jungkook's presence. She felt empty without them, a constant reminder of the connections that bound her to Seoul even as she travelled to strange and foreign places.

Notwithstanding her feelings of nostalgia and desire, YN understood the value of taking this time off to discover new things and create new memories with her friends. Even though she was always going to miss Jungkook and Lori, she took comfort in the idea that their relationship would endure without her.

Restless, In bed, Jungkook tossed and twisted, YN dominating his thoughts. His sorrow at leaving her with Mike alone persisted, and the doubt about her location tore at him like a raging hurricane.

With a heavy heart from expectation, he went for his phone and dialled YN's number, each ringing through the quiet night like a cry for comfort. However, all he got back was her voicemail's eerie silence, which served as a constant reminder of her absence.

Jungkook felt the desperation tearing at his insides as he attempted to control his growing terror. The image of YN in agony, left all by herself, and open to whatever Mike's plans could be, sickened him. His anxiety grew with every second that went by, driven by the unsolved questions that consumed his thoughts.

Unable to remain still, Jungkook got out of bed and walked towards his house with his feet moving automatically. But instead of the reassuring presence he so urgently needed, he was greeted with an empty quiet when he arrived in the familiar surroundings.

How might YN have gotten there? How was she getting along with Mike? Was she safe? Will she visit his home in the same manner as she did the last time?
The unsolved uncertainty of the questions tormented Jungkook as they whirled about in his head. And as the night wore on, he was unable to find comfort since his mind was always racing with the possibility of what may have happened to YN while he was away.

When the next day finally arrived, Jungkook was on his way to meet Lori with a troubled and melancholy heart. He was overcome with a flurry of emotions, all clamouring for his attention, when he came to pick her up for their trip to the university. He wanted to tell Lori everything that was going through his head, everything that was churning inside of him, but the words would not come out of his throat.

Lori's worried eyes pried into his serious expression, her soft questions nibbling at the boundaries of his disturbed thoughts. Her voice was filled with concern and worry as she questioned him why he appeared so low. Despite his best efforts, Jungkook was unable to respond to her, and his quiet was a reflection of the internal conflict he was experiencing.

Jungkook couldn't deny his love and affection for Lori, even if he was unable to put words to it. He was drawn to her warmth and generosity the more time he spent with her, and her constant support gave him comfort when his emotions were tumultuous. Her mere presence could instantly put his mind at ease and make him grin.

But despite how much he enjoyed her devotion, Jungkook was plagued by a persistent sense of guilt that gnawed at him from the inside. He felt uncomfortable and doubtful of himself at the idea of leaving a person as amazing as Lori for someone he had just known for a few short months.

Between his love for Lori and his need for YN, Jungkook's head was full of contradictory feelings as they travelled to the university together. He struggled to find a way to explain leaving behind someone as devoted and encouraging as Lori in exchange for the unproven promise of a new love.

Between their small exchanges of giggles and banter, Jungkook couldn't help but question whether he was making the correct decision. Was it right for Lori to cling to a love he couldn't return? And yet he felt a feeling of fear and uneasiness at the idea of leaving her behind.

Upon reaching the institution, Jungkook realised he needed to face the complex web of his emotions head-on. The reality that was hidden in his heart could not be ignored any longer. He had to figure out how to deal with the intricacies of love and yearning that were threatening to break him from the inside out, for better or worse.

"Kook, see you in class! I'll just be back." With a quick kiss on Jungkook's cheek, Lori hurried away, promising to be back soon. Meanwhile, Jungkook remained still, his heart heaving from his internal conflict. He wanted to confide in her, to share the weight of his mixed feelings with her, but her kind gesture of love made him feel even more hurt.

As Lori's lips touched his face for the briefest second, Jungkook experienced a wave of paradoxical feelings. The warmth of her kiss brought back memories of their love, taking him back to a time when their relationship was pure and untarnished by uncertainty and doubt.

Even though he was experiencing internal torment, Jungkook was pulled to Lori's love because it was familiar and comforting, and her warmth soothed his wounded spirit. He felt as though he had travelled back in time to a more innocent period when all that existed in his heart was the unadulterated delight of loving and being loved in return.

However, despite his delight in the tenderness of her kiss, a portion of Jungkook was unable to get rid of the persistent guilt that lurked in the recesses of his heart. He realised he had to be honest with Lori about the internal turmoil he was experiencing and that he couldn't keep hiding his actual sentiments from her.

Watching Lori vanish into the bathroom, Jungkook realised he could no longer fool either herself or himself. To untangle the complex web of emotions that threatened to break him, he needed to summon the bravery to face the reality of his sentiments.

Jungkook sighed deeply and silently promised himself that he would muster the courage to tell the truth, no matter how painful or difficult it would be. For better or worse, he realised that he had to leave the ghost of what may have been behind him and stop living in the shadow of his own heart.
